23: Hunting for Answers

"Alpha, you need to think this through, why do you even believe that guy?!" Namjoon said, watching as Jungkook stepped away from talking to head guards.

"I need answers Namjoon," Jungkook said.

"He could be lying Jungkook, don't just act so abruptly, you have a pack and a mate to look over,"
Namjoon rationed.

"I know I do Namjoon but what if he is telling the truth? It's better to attempt to find the truth and then realized that it was a joke to just ignore it and it be legit," Jungkook sternly said.

"Fine, you can go, I can't stop you but I'm coming with you," Namjoon said.

"Nope, you're staying here," Jungkook said, looking at Namjoon.

"I'm not letting you waltz into a random pack without any sort of protection. You're the Head Alpha of one of the most powerful packs in history for god sake. Many want you dead but they wouldn't even try since you're a True Blood Alpha," Namjoon sighed.

"You wouldn't stop bugging me until I let you go huh?" Jungkook asked.

"Nope," Namjoon said.

"Fine, you can come, we have to get going soon because the sooner the better," Jungkook rolled his eyes.

"I'll go and tell Jinnie that we are going on a mission plus I will assign Yoongi to lead the guards for full pack protecting," Namjoon said speeding off.

Jungkook signed and make his way into the pack house.

He opened his (well now his and Taehyung's) room door and peaked inside to be Taehyung watching videos on his phone.

"Oh you're back," Taehyung said, looking at Jungkook.

"Yeah I'm back," Jungkook said before sighing.

"Aw what's wrong with my bunny?" Taehyung asked, seeing Jungkook with a gloomy face.

"Namjoon and I have to go to another pack for some work. I don't wanna leave you," Jungkook pouted.

"Aw c'mere," Taehyung Taehyung chuckled.

Jungkook pouted and joined Taehyung on the bed in a warm hug.

"Don't worry bun, you'll come back to me soon. You're the Head Alpha and you have to protect your pack and make me and the pack members proud right?" Taehyung comforted.

Jungkook nodded.

"The Midnight Pack is to the south of the evergreen forest," Jungkook mind linked to Namjoon.

"How are you feeling right now?" Namjoon asked through mink link as he was running through the dirt floor.

"I don't know," Jungkook honestly answered.

"Although I'm skeptical about it, I know you really want answers so I'll believe that Taemin is telling the truth just for now and for your sake." Namjoon linked.

"I appreciate that Namjoon," Jungkook said, appreciated that Namjoon is with him especially at this time.

"We're here," Jungkook said, stopping at the packs entrance.

"Let's get this bread," Jungkook said, shifting into his human form while Namjoon scoffed at his choice of words.

"Such a kid," Namjoon chucked.

With Namjoon following close behind Jungkook, they made their way into the grounds of the pack.

The pack members of Midnight Pack looked at the two with curious but cautious eyes.

Who didn't know who the great True Blood Alpha Jeon Jungkook is?

"I want to speak to the Head Alpha," Jungkook said to a pack mate who was guarding the pack house doors.

The guard looked at Jungkook with wide eyes before bowing.

"F-Follow me," the guard said leading Jungkook and Namjoon inside.

"He is in his office, I can't take you to him," he said.

Jungkook hummed and followed the guard along with Namjoon.

"Who is it?" A voice said from behind the door.

"Head Alpha, the Head Alpha and second of command of The Silver Moon Pack are here and they want to see you," the wolf said.

"Let them in."

Jungkook opened the door and walked in.

Namjoon nodded art he guard and walked in after Jungkook, closing the door on his way in.

"Jeon Jungkook, never thought I would ever see you in my pack, what can I do for you?" The Head Alpha Taeyong asked.

"Look, I'm here for answers and it would be great if you could abide by my requests," Jungkook started off.

Taeyong nodded, sitting up in his chair.

"Go ahead," Taeyong motioned.

"What connections do you have with Taemin, Exo pack and my mate Taehyung," Jungkook said getting straight to the point.

"Hmmm and why should I tell you even if I had or don't have any connections with them?" Taeyong raised his eyebrows.

"Because my mate and possibly our entire werewolf kind is in danger and I need to know," Jungkook said with a serious face.

"And why is that?" Taeyong asked.

"My mate is a male omega, and I have been told that he isn't safe." Jungkook growled.

"So it's happening huh? Now is that time I see, where everything goes down," Taeyong sighed standing up.

Jungkook and Namjoon looked at each other then at each other, confusion present in their eyes.

"Allow me to properly introduce myself," Taeyong cleared his throat.

"My name is Taeyong, Lee Taeyong and I am the Head Alpha of Midnight Pack. And I am you're mates biological father." Taeyong smiled.
