Kokichi Pov

Shit.. I thought as I realized Saihara still had my books and supplies with him.

I sat at my desk, crutches laying on the ground, sweating.  Saihara sat 3 seats over to the right of me. Class was in session, and I didn't feel like causing a seen. So I just sat there, hoping the teacher wouldn't give us any notes.

Maybe at lunch I can ask Shuichi for the notes..I thought to myself.  I held my breathe as the clock moved. Inch by inch.

Then the bell rang. I let out a sigh of relief. I stood up, forgetting about my injured foot, and fell.

"Oww.." I whined as I stood up again, with the crutches this time.

"You okay Ouma?" The sudden voice behind me startled me. It was Kaede.

"Yeah I'm good, thanks for asking Kayayday," I teased. I didn't really care much about her, but she was Shuichi's friend so I didn't mind hanging out with her.

"I saw you sorta...uh..panicking during class. What happened?" Kaede asked. She was a bit nosy, but I could always tell her off with a lie.

"That wasn't panicking," I said. "It was my calm face."

"Uh huh..Sure," Kaede sighed. "Well, I'll leave you alone now if you aren't going to tell me. Just remember if you ever wanna talk, you can come to me." She smiled. Stupid of her to think  out of everyone would come to her  to talk. I have Shuichi for that.

Kaede left the classroom, soon after I did the same. I made my way down the almost empty hall with my crutches, or Shuichi's crutches? The halls were almost empty because I waited until some students went to their classes so I could do the same with my injured foot.

I made it to my class and sat down, only to realize Shuichi still had my stuff. Shuichi wasn't in this class, nor the next. It'll be lunch time when I see him again..

Shit, shit, shit, shit.. I looked around to see of I could ask a familiar face for a notebook or a pencil.

-------, ---, -----, and -------.. None of them seem to be familiar. I scanned the room more. My eyes finally landing on Kiibo.

I stood up, with the crutches, and walked over to Kiibo. He was unpacking his things for the class.

"Hey Keeboy!" I greeted.

"Please don't call me that, and good morning," Kiibo sighed, not looking up from unpacking. I awkwardly stood there for a moment.

"Um..Do you have a notebook and uh..a pencil..?" I asked. Kiibo had finished unpacking and looked up at me. "Saihara kinda forgot to give me my stuff this morning.."

"Here, and why does Saihara have your things?" Kiibo replied. I took the notebook and pencil.

"He was carrying my stuff because of my injured foot," I retorted. Of course a robot wouldn't understand a human injury, I internally rolled my eyes. "I'm going back to my seat now." I left without saying 'Thank you'. I'll thank him later.

I went back to my seat. Waiting a few seconds before the bell rang. Great. Another class..four more to go before I get to see Saihara again.. After that, I stopped paying attention and spaced out. Thinking about Shuichi.

*Ding Ding*

My eyes shot wide open as the loud alarming sound played. It was now lunch time. Finally.. Where should I go today? The bathroom, or Saihara's table?

I picked up the notebook Kiibo allowed me to borrow. I had made my decision, and headed to Saihara's table. Sorry Kiibo, today I don't feel like hanging with a non-human.

Shuichi had spotted me making my way to where he sat with Kaede. "Oh, hey Kokichi. Are you joining us for lunch?" Shuichi smiled brightly, it was beautiful. My cheeks started to heat up.

"Yeah. I guess," I pouted. "Shuichi.."

Shuichi tilted his head as if to question me. "Yes?"

"Y-you know you still have my stuff, righ-" Shuichi cut me off with a loud apology, grabbing attention from the other student. It made me slightly uncomfortable.

"I'm so sorry Kokichi! I completely forgot about them!" Shuichi practically yelled. He reached down and grabbed my stuff out of his bag. "..Here.."

I took the supplies and placed them on the table. By that time, Kaede came back with her lunch. "Hello Saihara, hello Ouma," She greeted while sitting down. "I see Shuichi gave back your stuff, Ouma."

"Yes, he did," I said while playfully glaring at Shuichi. "Do you have the notes?" Shuichi nodded and dug in his bag once more. Kaede smiled.

Shuichi handed me the notes and I began writing them down. Once I had finished doing that, I handed Shuichi's notes back to him.

------------------------------------ (After School)

I walked home with Shuichi again. He said I couldn't come over today, so I just went home. I lived in a small two story house, alone. It was nice living alone, but sometimes I wished that i had someone here.

I wasn't good at making food, sometimes I'll buy pre-made meals from the convenience store. Saihara also brings over the meals he cooked sometimes. Otherwise I just don't eat.

I flop down on the couch for a few minutes. Today was a long day, especially with these crutches.

What can I do to make Saihara to like me back?

I decided to search for ways to get someone to like you back. WikiHow..

'1. Make sure they're single.'

I already know he's single...next.

'2. Introduce yourself.'

Next..

'3. Get to know them better.'

"This is useless." I said as I continued to scroll. "Hmm?"

'5. Talk to them regularly.'

'9. Be yourself.'

"I do talk to him almost every day..And I am myself," I pondered. "But Saihara still doesn't seem interested. Maybe I'll flirt with him!" A smirk formed on my face as I searched for the next subject.

I read into the article. It was very intriguing. After learning a the basics of flirting, I decided to get ready for bed. I brushed my teeth and put on my pajamas. I would take a shower in the morning.

My stomach growled a few times, but I ignored it as I drifted off into my slumber.
