This is Tony: A very playful, intelligent and scrappy young wolf. He is usually very restless and absolutely enjoys discovering new things. He's more of a beta if anything but when sh** hits the fan, he steps up and does the right thing no matter what.

They were born and raised in an enclosure of some sorts. It was decent sized and had a small pond and a couple trees. A little bit of the natural outdoors. Though the walls were a Metallic silver color and there was one door. It had a red octopus with a skull painted on it. Steve and tony never knew what it was but they didn't put a lot of thought into it. Not too long after they bonded and became soulmates, a couple of the so called 'caretakers' entered the enclosure and attempted to take Steve away.

Well that sure didn't go too well for the men. Tony was not happy. Not happy at all. Neither was Steve. They'd rather die than be separated from one another. They fought and they fought HARD. Tony latched onto the mans arm who had a tight grip around Steve's snout, preventing his mate from biting the kidnapper. Tony's jaw was so strong, he practically shattered the mans forearm.

When the others tried grabbing tony and getting him off of the man, Steve lashed out. Tackling the man to the ground with a loud snarl and made sure he'd never have use for his vocal cords again. There were two men left but fortunately and amazingly, tony and Steve escaped the whole enclosure entirely, the men having idiotically left the door cracked open.

They didn't know where they were or where they were going but they didn't care. They ran and they ran far. after what seemed like days, the wolves finally found sanctuary in a small dark cave.

'Are you okay, Tony?' Steve asks worriedly, still panting with recent exertion but not as bad as Tony. He pads over to his mate and gently nudges his snout into Tony's neck.

'Yeah. I'm -' He takes a breath. "I'm okay. That just took a lot out of me.' Tony replies finally catching his breath and leaning his head into Steve. Worry builds within Steve because he knows tony shouldn't be this put out. If Steve can run this far and not be this exhausted, shouldn't Tony?

'Really Steve. I'm okay.' Tony assures, sensing Steve's worry for him and licks Steve's nose. Steve's ocean blue eyes stare into Tony's chocolatey brown ones, with uncertainty but he soon lets his worry go and licks Tony's snout in return affection.

'I love you.' Tony exclaims, bowing his head and letting their foreheads touch. 'I love you, too. So very much.' After a minute of affectionately rubbing their heads together, Steve speaks. 'We should sleep. We can travel more in the morning.' He exclaims.

Tony nods his head in agreement, all the running taking a toll on him. The Enclosure they lived in was big but not big enough to run that kind of distance. Steve's a lot more muscular than tony, so it makes a little sense that he can exert more energy without being put out like tony, but that doesn't explain Tony's behavior before.

Not too long before they escaped, Steve started noticing tony becoming lethargic and seemingly out of breath a lot of the time. It worried him. It still worries him.

They pad over to one of the walls of the cave that best block the wind that is beginning to pick up and lay down together. Tony lays down with a grunt, sounding a little like he's in pain. Steve lets out a small whine as he lays and curls himself protectively around his mate. He begins to gently lick Tony's ears and groom his head.

'Are you sure you're okay, Tones?' Steve inquires, worriedly, sensing distress emanating from the smaller wolf. 'Yeah, Stevie. My chest just hurts a little.' Tony admits, truthfully, knowing if he doesn't admit it now, his mate will badger him until he spills.

'If you're not better by morning we must find you help.' Steve states very seriously. Tony closes his eyes in exhaustion and relishes the gently touches of Steve. 'Help, how?' He questions, almost asleep. Steve stops his grooming and looks at him thoughtfully. True. Tony has a point. Maybe Humans have a way to help tony, Steve thinks to himself.

'I don't know. But you will be okay. I'll make sure of it.' Steve vows before resting his head, gently atop of Tony's. 'M'kay.' Tony murmurs before sleep takes them both.

  next Morning
6:30am

'Steve. . . . .Steve.' Tony nudges Steve's head with his nose, attempting to wake his mate. Steve lets out a groan, still half asleep.

'Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve -' 'uuuuuugh!' Steve finally wakes, lifting his head off the ground to look up at tony. 'Steve.' Tony wags his tale. 'Yes, Tony. I heard you the first 10 times.' Steve gently chides but can't help and smile (in his head. Wolves can't smile) up at his annoying, adorable mate.

'I found something.' Steve yawns and stands up before stretching. Tony steps closer and licks Steve's cheek. Steve returns the kiss. 'What'd you find?' Tony turns his head to look at something on the other side of the cave. Steve fallows his gaze but doesn't see anything. 'Over here.' Tony starts to pad away, leading Steve to the area of his focus.

Once they get closer, Steve notices the cave is much bigger than first thought. There's a decent sized hole, like another cave within the cave, leading further in. A tunnel. Both wolves's noses twitch as they sniff for new senses.

'Come on.' Tony exclaims and takes a step towards the opening. Steve shifts his snout in front of Tony's chest to stop him. 'No tony. It could be dangerous. We don't know what's in there.' Steve explains, firmly, not going to risk losing his mate.

Tony scoffs. 'Well we won't know until we go inside, now will we?' Tony argues with amusement. Steve sighs, tiredly. 'Must we know what is in there?' Steve questions, reasonably. 'Well, no . . . But it'll be fun.' Steve looks into the dark, mysterious entrance to somewhere before looking back to tony, who's tale begins to wag, sending Steve will say yes. 'Alright. But I go first, okay love?' Tony nods his head, excitedly before they both venture further into the darkness.
