The sun had done its job for the day, and had begun to disappear into the horizon of the sea, turning the sky a mix of pink and yellow as a farewell message.

Tommy and Tubbo were sat side by side up against a tree, as the bark slightly scratched at their backs through their shirts and the wind blew through their hair. They watched as waves periodically crashed onto the shore. The salty summer air humidity had begun to go down with the sun, and in that moment, everything was right with the world.

Tubbo rested his head on Tommy's shoulder as he sighed and closed his eyes, relieved the day was over. It was tiring for the both of them, but they made it through.

Although he was in quite an uncomfortable position, something about the white noise of the waves crashing combined with the exhaustion built up from the day made Tubbo drift off into sleep.

Tommy was too caught up in his own thoughts while watching the scenery he hadn't noticed Tubbo's breath evening out, signaling he was sleeping, until soft snoring started beside him, causing him too look over and found his friend sleeping on his shoulder beside him.

Tommy put his lips into Tubbo's hair, giving him a light forehead kiss, treasuring the last moments before it got too dark and he had to wake Tubbo up, which he knew would be accompanied by some grumpiness on the walk home. He put his head against Tubbo's, sat in the afterglow of the sunset by the sea, content.
