"I began repeating the same experiment that we've conducted during 5 previous captures."

I walked up to 1 of the 2 Titans that were captured.
Hello!" I said to them.
First attempt was communication.
"How are you feeling?" I asked
"What's your name?"
"Are you in pain?"
"S-section commander! You're too close!" Said Moblit.

I went over to the other one.
"Hello!"
"Nice weather, isn't it?"
"Are you hungry?"
As I asked it, the Titan tried to lunge at me.
"Woah! That was close!"  I said.
"That's dangerous, section commander!" Said Moblit.

Unfortunately, I had to conclude that there's no hope of communicating with these ones either.
However, my time spent interacting with the Titans was fulfilling enough to make me forget how exhausted I was every day.

"Once upon a time, there existed a clan that ate humans." I said as I walked around the Titans.
"And I don't mean you Titans, I'm talking about a clan of people. They would hide in caves on mountainsides and attack any travellers who passed by. They would steal they're valuables and eat their flesh."

"Here we go again, another one of her naming ceremonies." I heard one of the garrisons say.
"Yeah what did call the last ones again?" Asked another one.
"Chikatiloni and Albert."

"Ultimately, they kept this up for 25 years," I continued. "During which time they supposedly preyed upon over 500 people. Probably more humans than you have eaten in fact. They also tried eating them in all sorts of ways. Making steaks out of rump meat, dicing up leg meat and adding it to a stew, grinding tough meat patties and frying it, making sausages from blood clots and innards. Indeed, they initiated the concept of 'cooking'! That's where they differ from you." I said. I noticed a garrison was throwing up.

"However, this clan of cannibals was caught and executed after making one single mistake. That's where you're just like them. You guys made the mistake of attacking humankind and wound up caught."
I started to walk closer to them.

"So I'm going to name you two after the man who was the leader of this clan." I said.

"You're Sawney." I said pointing at one of the Titans.
"You're beane." I said pointing to the other. "But don't worry, I'm not gonna execute you."
"Nice to meet you Sawney." I said grabbing his huge hand. "And you too, Beane." I said grabbing the others.
"Let's all be friends!"

And that's how I named the 7-meter Titan, Beane and the 4-meter Titan, Sawney.

I put a tarp over them.
Next, I tested out blocking them from the sunlight. From the fact that the Titans become less active as the night progresses, this experiment corroborates that they somehow use sunlight for energy. It was from this that I found a substantial difference between the two.

"Hm, you did great, Sawney. Good night, I'll see you tomorrow." I said to Sawney.

While Sawney grew sluggish after only one hour out of sunlight...
