♡︎Eren's POV♡︎

"Smoke signals, green. Oluo! Pass it on." Said Captain Levi.

"With pleasure, sir." Oluo grabbed a flare gun and shot a green signal back.

'Things seem to be going pretty smoothly, for the moment, still, I wonder how it really is, my gut tells me the front lines has already taken a serious hit.' I thought to myself.

"Reporting sir! An oral message! It appears the right wing spotters have been wiped out!" Said a scout. "The early warning network has. Been compromised! One of you will need to relay the message down the line!"

"You heard the man, Y/n, go on. Be careful." Said Captain Levi.
"Yessir!" Said Y/n as she rode off.

'The right wing?! That's Armin's position! But still he wasn't with the outliners. Him and the others were warped towards the centre. Surely the Titans haven't made it that far in.' I thought before I noticed a black flare.
"A black flare?! An abnormal!" I said.

"Eren, fire the signal." Said Captain Levi.
"Y-yessir." I said as I shot a flare up.
Levi muttered something under his breath.

'It's almost here, the Titan. Beneath those flares, is there someone fighting.'

"Captain Levi!" I said.
"What?" He responded.

"Well, we're in a forest! If the center enters alone, we won't know when Titans are approaching! It seems nothing is approaching us from the right... how are we supposed to dodge the Titans or protect the carts?" I told him.

"Don't go on and on about the obvious... we can't do that anymore, of course." Captain Levi responded.
"T-then why?"

"Look around, Eren, at all these big ass trees." Said the Captain.

I looked around and saw how big the trees were.
"It's the perfect environment for 3D Maneuver Gear. And try to use that brain of yours... if you don't want to die, think." Continued the Captain.

"Y-yes, sir!"

'I see. I just can't keep up right now because I'm still new. He won't just tell me the answer. I have to figure it out for myself. I'm sure that's how they all learned to fight.'

"What the hell? Seriously? Damn it all, what the hell is going on here?" I heard Oluo mutter.

I turned over to see Y/n and Petra, they looked worried.

'Wait! Wait a minute, no one knows what's really going on? Maybe not even Captain Levi?' I thought.

Your POV

A black flare shot up.

"A black flare?" Said Eren.
"It's coming right from behind us. It's whatever was coming toward us from the right." Said Eld.

"Draw your blades. If we see it, it'll only be for a second." Said Dad as he took out one of his blades.

Everything went quiet for a little. We saw a man come from some of the trees. Everyone besides Dad looked at him, terrified. Soon he was slapped by a giant hand that belonged to a female looking Titan with blonde hair. The female Titan started running towards us. She looked like...

"Go!" Yelled Dad.

The Titan broke through the trees and got closer to us. She had a terrifying smile.

'She's different from most abnormals, could she be like Eren? If that's the case then it might actually be her.' I thought.

"It's fast! In these trees, there's no way to foresee and evade its attacks!" Yelled Gunther.
"It'll catch us!" Yelled Eld.

"Captain! Let's switch to maneuver gear! Captain!" Yelled Petra.

Two more people came after the Titan.
"Reinforcements from the rear!" I yelled.

The two people were quickly killed. Everyone looked at it with horror.

"CAPTAIN, YOUR ORDERS?!" Yelled Petra.
"LET'S GO FOR IT! IT'S DANGEROUS! WE SHOULD KILL IT!" Yelled Oluo.

Eld took out his blades.
"I'll rip you apart!" He said.

"Captain Levi!" Yelled Eren.
"Captain!" Yelled Petra.
"Give us your orders!" Yelled Oluo.
"At this rate it will catch up to us!" Yelled Gunther.
"We'll kill it here! That's why we came intoxicated this forest, right, Captain?!" Yelled Eld.
"Dad! You're orders!" I yelled.

"Everyone, cover your ears ." Dad finally said.

We were all confused, but we listened. He then took a flare and shot it.

It was very loud.
"A noise grenade?" Said Eren.

"What is your job? To just let yourself be swayed by whatever you're feeling at the moment? No it's not. Our squad's job is to keep that brat from getting a single scratch on him. Even if it cost our lives. We keep going on our horses, got it?" Said Dad.

"Roger!" Said Petra.
"Keep going? For how long? And it's right on top of us..." Said Eren.

Another scout came to try and kill the Titan.
"Again! The reinforcements! If we don't help, they'll be wiped out again!" Yelled Eren.

"Eren, eyes on the road!" Yelled Gunther.
"Sir!" Eren responded.

"Keep your pace up! Stay at top speed!" Yelled Eld.

Things like this went on for a while until we switched to our 3DMG. They were talking about how on Petra's first day she pissed herself. Everything was fine until Eld was killed by the female Titan Eren told me to go so I did and met up with Mikasa, Sasha and the others. I don't what happened after.

Sorry if this seems rush and yes I know it's been a while since I've updated this so sorry about that. I'm also sorry that this chapter is shorter than others but that was only because I felt rushed. Anyways I hope you enjoyed the chapter and again, sorry.
