Meera huddled inside her covers. She wore socks to keep her feet warm and adjusted the numerous blankets in her bed. So far her mom came to her room twice to check her temperature and give her herbal tea. Her stomach clenched with pain. Early morning she woke up with a scratchy voice and monthly visit.

She threw up once and slumped in her bathroom feeling weak and tired. Somehow her mom was passing and helped her clean up and into the bed. After having some oats and warm water, she slept.

It is raining heavily. The rain drops gathered outside of her window and began to slid creating a path on the glass. She swallowed the pill for fever with warm water and looked at the clock. It is already nine . The principal must have postponed morning assembly. The sky is gray and it seems like the rain is not going to stop today.

Meera began to watch the movements in the clock. She miss Noah . They had second language today. Will he miss her? Her eyes traced the hands, one..two..three...thoughts began to muddle. Her eyes closed and her breath evened. She began to dream about the bright eyed boy.

Hello everyone,

When we read a book we can see how much we have finished through the pages. So a gentle, sad reminder. Half of the story is finished. I am happy because their journey is going in the way I wanted but a selfish part of me want to exist with them.
