"Hey baby," Matt smiled as he and River walked into her home.
"Hey," Chris smiled as Matt came over and kissed her softly, making the children giggle and run off. Chris shook her head at their antics. "You two gonna stay for dinner?" Chris asked.
"Actually... How would you feel about maybe going to my parents for dinner tonight? My mom wants to meet you properly." Matt asked her carefully.
"I, I mean, I would have to ask Jade," Chris told him, as he pulled her into his chest. "I want to see if she's okay with it first."
"Of course." Matt nodded, leaning down to kiss her.
Chris hummed as she pulled away smiling, and the kids ran into the room. Matt grabbed River and took him out to the living room, while Chris stopped Jade. "Baby? Mommy has to ask you something."
"Yeah, Mommy?" Jade replied.
"Matt asked me if you and I would like to go to dinner with his parents. River's Nanny and Poppy. How would you feel about that?" Chris asked her daughter.
"Are they nice like Matt and River?" She asked her mom.
"I think so? Matt's Mom seemed nice when I met her. Did you wanna ask Matt?" Chris asked her.
"Yes, please Mommy." Jade nodded.
Chris led Jade into the living room, where Matt and River were seated on the floor playing with something. "Matt? Jade has something she wants to ask you." Chris said as Jade ran over and sat down beside him.
"What's up, sweetie?" Matt asked her.
"Is your Mommy and Daddy as nice as you and River?" She asked.
"I think so. My mom and dad love kids. They even like to spoil River with treats when he eats all of his supper." Matt told her with a wink.
She nodded and tugged on his sleeve making him lean down. "Will they be nice to my mommy?" Jade asked, trying to whisper.
"Why do you ask that bug?" He asked her.
"My dad's, mom and dad were really mean to my Mommy until she changed her phone number," Jade told him, and Chris looked shocked.
She had tried to hide that from her, she is too young to need to worry about things like that. Matt looked at Chris, sadness in his eyes. "My mom and dad will like your mommy bug. Let me ask you something, do you think your mommy makes me as happy as you say I make her?" Matt asked Jade.
She sat and thought about it for a little while. "Yes." She said confidently.
"Your mommy makes me very happy, so I think my mommy and daddy will like her a lot," Matt told her.
"They'll like her because she makes you happy?" She confirmed, and Matt nodded. "When are we leaving?" She asked with a grin.

"Hey guys come on in!" Kim greeted. "It's nice to see you again honey." Kim greeted giving her a careful smile. "This must be your daughter, Jadelyn right?" Kim asked.
"Yes, Mrs. Sanders." Jade nodded, smiling at her.
"Aren't you polite." She grinned, giving the small girl a gentle hug. "My boys!" Kim grinned hugging Matt and River.
"Hey, Mom." Matt greeted, kissing her cheek.
"Nanny!" River grinned hugging her.
Kim escorted them into the house and introduced Chris and Jade to Gary, who seemed a little more welcoming than Kim at the moment. They all sat down in the living room and made light conversation when Kim announced dinner was ready. "Come on guys, let's go get washed up." Chris smiled, and Matt told her where the washroom was.
