New Guy

I was walking through the hallways without a care about being late for class. The teacher loved me because I was his "star student." I was on my phone not watching where I was going because no one was actually in the hallway. I bumped into someone and dropped my book. I bent down to pick up my book but, when I did someone else grabbed it and handed it to me.

"Thanks, hey um, do you know where Room 153 is?" the person asked. I looked up and saw it was a rather attractive looking guy.

"You new?" I asked him.

"Yeah," he laughed and blushed.

"That's actually the class I'm in right now so just follow me." I told him as I walked towards the class.

"Hey Coach Peebles." I said as I walked in interrupting the class.

"Late again?" he laughed. I smiled innocently.

"Name the three branches of our government and what each one does." he challenged me. I answered his challenge by perfectly describing each branch of the government.

"Very well done Miss Edgar."

"Oh and I brought your new student who's name is....." I trailed off at the end because I realize I didn't know his name.

"Jai," the new guy finished my sentence.

"Nice to meet you Jai, please take a seat where ever you like." Coach said and Jai sat behind me.

After the class I was pulled aside by some friends and couldn't help Jai get to his next class. The day ticked by slowly and next thing I knew it was lunch.

"Don't look now but cute guy7 o'clock is checking you out.

I turn my head and see Caroline is sitting right behind me.

"Hey Caroline what was the calculus homework again?" I asked her as I focused my eyes behind her scaning the room looking for the guy. Caroline answers me but I don't hear her, I didn't need the homework anyways.

"Thanks," I tell Caroline then I turned back around,"watch how it's done ladies." I tell my friends as I get up. I walk towards Jai who looked like he was trying to decide where to sit.

"Hey, Jai was it?" I asked guessing his name as I played dumb.

"Ummm no actually I'm Luke, his brother, well twin." he said embarrassed.

"Oh nice to meet you, I'm Kayla. Do you want to come sit with me and my friends, you look a little lost."

"Yeah that'd be great." Luke says and he sits with us. I winked atthe girls and the day carried on as normal. Having twin friends was going to be fun.
