*PRESENT DAY REESE*
It had been a week since the day I first spoke to Harry after everything. We talked once more yesterday. But he flew to England because that was the only flight he could take. Niall has been edgy around Harry. Which is understandable. He wants me safe. I love Niall so much for doing that. But with me he is so sweet and caring.
He does everything for me. Applying medical things needed. Walking me around. He even secretly un buckles the straps holding me down.
He's been everything I've been aching for.
"Ready to go?" Niall asks grabbing a blanket from the cabinet and wraps it around me.
"Yeah" I say weakly. I'm so exhausted. I don't know how I'm getting on a flight in a few hours. But I have to get to a civilization.
I panicked when I realized I was leaving my condo.
But Niall said that Harry went and checked on everything. Got my stuff out and payed my last rent.
I can't believe everything is turning around with a snap of a finger.
Just last week I was near death in my small abode. Smashed bottles and a glass skeleton for a frame.
I'm still super unhealthy. But I'm well enough to move more than I used to.
Niall wheels my chair. I look up at him. His cute pursed lips. His perfect completion. Niall has changed. He seems older and matured. He looks down with concern.
He knows my head is clanking with thoughts but he doesn't speak.
The car is right out the door and Niall stops to pick me up out of the chair and into the car. People started to realize who we were. So he jumps in with me on his lap and the car speeds off.
"Ow" I whine at my stupid side.
"Oh sorry sorry love!" He gently sits me in the seat.
"It's okay. It's not your fault" I say and his mood dims.
"Yeah it is. You wouldn't be like this if I would have listened" he snaps.
I want to defend but I'm too exhausted to speak.
"No" is all I say.
"Just hold me" I whine.
"Come here" he softly pulls me into his side. I'm in a ball next to his torso.
I look out at the window.
The sunny sky with LA passing quickly.
I'm reminded of the time I was with Harry and I looked out on rainy London.
It hit me like a ton of bricks when I realized.
That's how much everything has changed...
