chapter two

Levi stood there with a scared look on his face, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do. He had a white towel around his waist, water droplets were dripping down his hair, a toothbrush in his mouth with toothpaste on his lips. You both stood there for awhile, too scared to make any sudden moves he slowly closed the door maintaining eye contact.

Your mouth was wide open while you heard eren's footsteps coming up but you didn't move, you just stared at the closed door in front of you trying to process what had just happened.

eren :
Y/N ! Don't open that door, that's-

y/n :
Levi's bathroom...

He looked at you confused for a second before realization hit and immediately bursted out laughing.

levi :
I can hear you

He hit the door hard to make sure we knew he was talking to the both of you. You and eren quieted down immediately and tried to walk away as quiet as possible.

eren :
He said earlier that he gets the upstairs bathroom while we get the downstairs one, were you not listening?

y/n :
If I had listened earlier we wouldn't be here right now, would we?

He rolled his eyes at you trying to hold in his laugh. The blonde girl, Historia, appeared before our eyes as we walked down the stairs, she didn't bother much to look at you and shifted her attention onto eren.

historia :
Hey ! Do you think you can help me carry some stuff real quick ?

eren :
mhm, i'll talk to you later y/n

You nodded not really caring and made your way to the bathroom, finally taking your shower. You took longer than expected and when you looked out jean was preparing dinner while eren set up the table. You didn't pay any attention to what kind of towel you brought only to now regret it. It was significantly short, you peaked your head out once more, there were no girls around. You were about to call out to Eren since he was your closest friend so far, until you saw levi noticed you. He put his hand over his mouth hiding his facial expression, just a few seconds later he got up and disappeared into the back room.

You closed at sat against the door in embarrassment. All of this on your first day, great. When you were about to give up and just decide to hide in the bathroom forever you heard a knock on the door. You opened it just slightly to see levi's extended hand giving you a longer towel, his head facing away from you so that he wouldn't make you uncomfortable. You didn't wait another second to grab it and cover yourself up. You waited a few moments for levi to leave so that you could reach your room, and you did.

Eren called out to everyone when dinner was ready, you all sat and ate the weird smelling soup jean made it silence. It was quiet for a good 10 minutes, no one dared to leave the room.

eren :
This tastes like shit

jean :
HUUHHH? WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME YOU LITTLE-

You muted out the rest of their conversation when you heard levi sigh and get out of his seat, excusing himself. Just a few minutes later you followed him to apologize for earlier. No one noticed you quietly slip away, not that anyone cared, they were too into jean and eren's fight.

You quietly knocked on Levi's door, hoping it was loud enough to catch his attention.

Levi :
Damn it, one second.

You felt uneasy just standing outside his door waiting for him to open.

Levi :
Come on in

You sat down observing your surroundings when you noticed a lotion bottle with a towel next to it sitting on a shelf, it wasn't hard for you to piece it together. Your eyes widened at the thought. Levi noticed where your eyes laid, he didn't seem too bothered by it but wasn't happy about it either.

y/n :
Oh uh, this was bad timing I'm sorry I can go

Levi :
Stay, it doesn't matter now. What did you want to talk about?

He sat laid back in a chair directly across from you.

y/n :
Oh I just wanted to apologize for earlier, it wasn't right for me to just-

Levi :
It's fine I liked it. Not like that, I just appreciate the gesture of you wanting to help me. You don't have to treat me with such respect all the time... I mean obviously you do but i don't feel superior to any of you, you all act like i'm some kind of emotionless monster

y/n :
No, that's not true

Levi :
Really now? Watch this

He stepped out of his room, holding on to the railing outside, you followed him out, leaning forward onto the railing.

Levi :
All of you, bed now.

all in unison:
YES SIR ! SORRY SIR !

It was still somewhat light outside. maybe only 6-7pm.

Levi :
I rest my case. Go to bed to cadet.

He patted your head lightly, just once, and went back inside, closing the door behind him. You smirked for just a second and went to your own room.
