chapter four

The Levi squad ran out the house and flew through the forest quietly. While you were getting ready jean had waited so you were both in the rear end.

jean :
DAMN IT ! WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN?

You looked behind you to see jean struggling with his ODM gear before he fell to the ground, without hesitation you dropped to where he was.

y/n :
Here! Take my gas

You unbuckled the belts that held your gas in place rather quickly, you were skilled with your hands.

jean :
ARE YOU CRAZY? What if they find you? I'm not taking that

y/n :
You were at the top 5 of the class, your face was on more posters than mine, i'll be fine. Even if you don't take it i'll stay here, one getting caught is better than two, I think I know where Levi is headed anyway

jean :
Damn it ! We'll come back for you if you can't find your way, I owe you one

You nodded and he went on to catch up with the group, you could hear the Military police's horses, they're searching the forest as well. It was too late to try to move, they were too close, moving too fast. You took off the rest of your gear, cape, and jacket and stood in the middle of the road with your hands up. Two soldiers stopped in front of you, they dismounted their horses and shot eachother suspicious looks.

y/n :
I give up. The rest of the Levi squad left me behind, please take me home

One of the MPs grabbed your arm hard trying to drag you but you acted as though you tripped over yourself, you took this chance to grab the blade you kept in your boot and lifted it into your sleeve.

y/n :
AGH! I'm sorry I twisted my ankle earlier, that's why they left me behind, can you help me up?

The officer grunted and helped you walk towards the horse, you stood there for a few seconds in silence.

officer 1 :
Well are you going to get on?

In one swift motion you pulled out your blade to cut the strap that kept the saddle in place, leaving him no time to react you kicked him hard in his stomach, he fell on his knees almost throwing up. The other horse was nearby, you only had time to put one foot into the stirrup before the other officer tried to attack you. You threw your knife just a few inches away from his feet causing him to step back as you fully mounted the horse.

y/n :
HUYAAA

You smiled knowing what you had just pulled off, you went east to throw them off until you knew they could no longer see you. After that you headed Northwest until you found them camped up on a hill.

You tied the horse to a tree just close, when Jean and Eren saw you they had a look of relief on their face, so did the rest but not as much.

Levi :
What the hell kind of stunt was that?

y/n :
I was just helping a fellow scout in need sir

He looked at you up and down before finally speaking again.

Levi :
Where are the rest of your clothes? And your gear?

Eren and Jean both stiffened at Levi's words, they must've thought you were in trouble judging by how quick they rejoined the others.

y/n :
Dont worry, I marked a tree of where I left them, they're well hidden in a bush. I'll go get them right now, I'm sure the MPs are gone by now

Levi :
I'll go with you

You didn't argue knowing if you were caught you'd have no way out this time. He yelled back to the group that Armin was now in charge and to keep the fire low.

Levi :
We'll go by horse. The one horse you brought

You smiled at him knowing you had just basically kidnapped an MP horse. He got on the horse first then offered his hand to help you up.

Levi :
Grab onto me

y/n :
Oh no it's fine it's not that bad-

Levi :
That's an order, grab on to me, tightly

You didn't argue with him and put both your arms around his waist, holding on to him tightly, like he commanded you to. As your body pressed on his your heart beat so loud you were certain he could hear it. It was quiet for majority of the ride, staying in the same position.

y/n :
Wait stop, it's right here

Levi :
Hmph, get off and get dressed, i'll tie this horse a little farther just in case, i'll be back in a second.

You nodded and got off, reaching for the rest of your clothes and gear you put them back on. Just as you tied your cape around your neck a grape hook hit a tree behind you, nearly 4 inches away from your head, the next thing you knew you were on the ground with Levi on top of you.

Levi :
They're coming, stay quiet

You didn't have much of a choice, Levi's hand was covering your mouth. He was so close you could feel his warm breath on your neck.

Officer 2 :
I swear I saw her go east, there's no doubt in my mind

Officer 1 :
Yeah alright, whatever you say

Officer 2 :
Oh shut up, you fell on your knees to a girl, you're pathetic

They weren't galloping or trotting this time, the horse was simply walking by with both soldiers on.

Levi lowered his head to your ear, whispering, "That's pretty badass". You could feel him smirking although you couldn't see it. When he was sure they were gone he removed his hand from your mouth but didn't move a muscle.

y/n :
You can get off now if you want

He looked straight into your eyes, and with full confidence asked,

Levi :
Do you want me to?

Speechless all you could do was shake your head no.

Levi :
Good. I didn't want to anyway
