Natasha.

This was it. Finally, we were about to rid the world of the very last HYRDA base. No more of their games and mischief. They were about to be gone for good. We weren't just doing this for the world. We were doing it for Steve... and Bucky. All the people who had been effected by HYDRA. So many people had lost literally everything in the hands of those people.

Everyone was sick of them. It wasn't like they were a major threat anymore. They were just like an itch you can't stratch. Annoying and inconvenient, always getting in the way. That's why this mission was so important. After a long undercover mission for someone, we had finally figured out their location.

An abandoned hotel just off the coast of Siberia; that's where they were hiding. They never thought we'd find them. This time, we didn't have an ounce of remorse. After a bombing incident in the centre of New York - that city had taken enough damage already - we decided it was a good idea to give them a taste of their own medicine. This time, in the form of a girl.

Wanda Maximoff: probably one of the most powerful beings in the universe. She was our weapon. For once, it wasn't Banner losing control that caused all the destruction. Someone who worked for it was actually getting their chance to shine. Not that there was anything wrong with Bruce. I love the guy, but I just felt as though Wanda needed her time to show off how much she had improved with her skills and control.

Call me biased, but Wanda was probably the most fascinating person I'd ever met. I couldn't take my eyes off her most of the time. At first, I ruled it off as a professional interest, but recently it was becoming more and more clear to me what kind of interest I was actually taking in the girl. When it started, I ruled out the possibility, wanting nothing to do with the idea of being romantic with Wanda. Being infatuated with a member of the team never really ended all that well and the last thing I wanted was to put her in danger.

However, as time went on, I realised that maybe it wasn't such a bad thing. There was an extremely small possibility that Wanda even enjoyed my precense, nevermind her thinking of me in that way. So, as long as I kept my little crush a secret, no wrong could come from it. For all she knew, we were just really good friends. In reality, that's all we were.

"Natasha." Steve called, snapping me out of my thoughts. I raised an eyebrow in the blonde's direction, wondering what he was about to say. Steve was my best friend, along side Clint of course. He was probably the most genuine, respectful guys I'd ever met and guys like him were hard to come across. If I wasn't completely in love with a Sokovian red-head, I could see myself falling for him.

"I want you, Wanda and Bucky on the east side of the building. You get in, take the information and then you get out. You have ten minutes to get everything you need, before the place goes boom. Wanda, you know what you have to do." He explained, wanting to make sure we understood everything that was going on. Missing steps and not knowing things was usually one of the main reasons for death in this kind of business.

It was an easy plan. Three floors of a large, mansion-looking hotel. On the East, it was to be Wanda on the bottom floor, Bucky on the middle floor and me on the top. Each of us had a job to complete, Wanda's being the centre of it all. She had to get her powers into the building's system and let her scarlet energy take over. After that, we'd have around ten minutes to get out of there before the whole place turned into Ash.

Bucky was a sweeper, checking middle floor of civillians and also making sure there wasn't anything we'd missed. I was on the top floor, where we knew their intelligence would be. It was my job to get in there, wipe their data and then leave.

We'd practised this a million times and everyone seemed fine about it, except from Wanda, who sat beside me on the quinjet with shaky hands. "Wanda." I mumbled, turning my head, so that I could see into her eyes. Those beautiful eyes. Attempting not to get distracted, I looked around the quinjet to make sure no one was paying extra attention to us, before taking her shaky hands in my own.
