CHAPTER TWO

 
  In the morning
I woke up hearing Luke’s phones ringing I slightly opened my eyes but my eyes kept on closing
He answered:
  “Shane”
  “Luke we have a problem”
  “What’s wrong?”
  “Our Australian clients flew in last night to discuss and finalize the contract they want to see the site tomorrow so that means I can’t accompany you to LA”
  “It’s alright you handle this contract and I’ll handle the LA contract on my own good luck and Shane one more thing today I won’t be coming in”
  “Okay travel safely buddy”
  “I will thank you handle office well while I’m not around”
  “Will do bye”
He hung up the phone
I sat up right and looked at him but he was not facing me I stared at his back as he wearing (White T-shirt, Black jeans and White sneakers) he looked so handsome in casual wear
  “Are you going to LA alone?” He turned and looked at me
  “Hey good morning beautiful” He walked to the bed and sat next to me “How did you sleep?”
  “Good thank you” I hugged him and rested my head in his chest listening to his heartbeat.
He kissed me on top of my head “Come on it’s time to get up we have funfair to get too remember?”
I broke the hug and looked at him “Yes but funfair in the morning?”
He smirked at me “Well my dear I can’t in the evening as I’ll be leaving for LA so I thought we should go now and spend the day at the funfair before I’ll leave, what you say?”
  “Oh Mr Dimples what did I do to get such loving man like you”
  “Mr dimples how many nicknames will you give me?”
  “As many as I want”
He kissed me again “Okay now go and get ready” Luke whispered as he was about to get up I quickly held on to him tightly “what happened?’
I looked up at him “Let’s go together”
  “Babe I just took a shower”
  “Okay fine I’ll stay in bed than” I let him go and laid back down he stood up and looked down at me
  “You are so proud of your acts huh?”
I smiled up at him “Yeah is it working?”
He shook his head “I’m only complying with you as I won’t be here for a week, come on let’s get you cleaned up” I quickly stood up in bed and Luke picked me up I rapped my legs around his waist and he slowly walked towards the bathroom
  “Do you know how much I love you?” I asked
  “No how much?”
  “As much as an ocean”
  “But the ocean ends”
I poured my lips “Okay as much as the sky”
  “Mm… never ending love I’ll take that” I kissed him and Luke slides the door open and walked in than I closed the door behind him.

Luke parked the car at the funfair parking lot he got out wearing (White sweater, Blue jeans, White sneakers and Black shades) he walked the car and opened the car for me I got out wearing (White blouse, Blue skinny jeans, White sneakers and Black shades) yes we wore matching clothes
  “Thank you babe”
  “You are welcome beautiful”
I held Luke’s hand and he closed the door then locked the car we walked hand in hand I rapped my arms around his right elbow I couldn’t stop smiling thinking that since last year I had been begging him to come to the funfair with him but he had refused cold flat so I had Amanda to accompany me and now his finally agreed
  “Babe if I knew you would come with me for LA I would have send you there long ago”
He laughed softly “You don’t need to use LA last year I was busy that’s why I wasn’t able to accompany you”
  “Yeah right now that we here I’ll have to take your word for it” he smiled
We got inside the funfair and the riders were already opened and running we walked around bought some tickets and got on some few slow rides (horses, chine swings,  ship) after we bought some sugar candy then Luke took me to the twister ride it looked scary
  “Luke no way I’m not getting on that thing forget it”
  “Oh come on baby the riders like twister are the enjoyable rides of funfairs come on say yes please, please”
  “But I don’t like the twister ride”
  “Okay let’s do this after the twister ride will go to the most boring rider of the funfair”
I looked at him being curious “Which is what”
  “The Ferris wheel”
I laughed at him “I knew you would say the Ferris wheel but you don’t know that it is considered the romantic ride for couples okay fine now that you are willing to ride on the Ferris wheel for me I guess I can ride the twister for you”
We went to the twister ride without even getting on it I was already feeling dizzy we got in and sat on the ride Luke sitting next to me we closed the bar and held each other’s hands tightly
  “Are you okay baby?”
  “Yeah I’m good”
Then the ride started moving slowly, medium and high speed
  “Woo” I yelled so as everyone
It was so scary at first but then I started enjoying it after few twist I was happy to see Luke enjoying and having some fun after a long time as his been busy with his company seeing him laugh it was worth any dizziness then the ride slowed down and stopped.
After got down we went to the photo booth and took some pictures making funny faces, kissing and finally cute once then went skating which Luke fell miserably and finally we went on the Ferris wheel we gave the tickets and sat on our seat we were in each other’s arms what a perfect moment were I had wished we could stay like that forever.
I looked up at him while still in his arms “I love you and thank you for this amazing day”
He smiled down at me “No thank  you I’ve haven’t had this fun and relaxing day in a very long time and I love you too so much” I smiled at him and we shared a sweet kiss and watched the great view on the top in the Ferris wheel.
Later in the evening back at his house seeing him already to leave my heart broke in pieces I hugged him tightly “I’m going to miss you so much” I tipped on my toes and kissed him he smelled divine and changed into a suits he was wearing (White shirt unbuttoned, Black slim fit suit and Black shoes) he looked so handsome.
  “I haven’t left yet and I’m already missing you baby” I gave him few pad kisses on the lips
   “Travel safely and let me know when you arrive okay?”
He kissed me softly “Of cause madam” he walked to the chair and grabbed his black traveling leather bag and I walked with him to the door he opened it I stood at the door he turned and looked at me holding his hand
  “I love you” I whispered
  “I love you more” He replied he gave the his driver the bag and walked to the car he turned again then I blew him a kiss with a hand gesture he smiled and got inside the car I closed the door
  “So many days without this is going to the longest week ever” then I dragged myself to the living room and fell on the couch breathing out heavily, they my phone beeped.
Message received:
  “Baby it’s been a while not seeing you dance will you dance for me?”
  “Oh yeah what genre would you like to see?” I replied
  “I’m away for the whole week do something sexy”
I smiled looking at the phone “Luke Mark you are so naughty my answer is NO I don’t do sexy dance” then he sent laughing Emoji with three hearts. I turned on some music

I walked in Amanda’s café shop dragging my feet I saw Amanda busy with a customer I walked to the spare table I roughly putted my hand bag on the table and sat down feeling down due to missing Luke.
Amanda came to me holding two milk shakes she putted strawberry shake in front of me and she sat down drinking the blueberry shake I buried my face in my folded hands
  “Are you missing Luke?”
I looked at her with a sad face “And his still on the way his not even reached yet by the way how do you know I’m missing him?”
  “Because you are my best friend and you get like this every time he goes out of the country”
I sighed “Then I can work here for a week?”
  “No way, you are on leave after working hard you need to rest”
  “No I need to work to keep my mind distracted to keep myself busy it’s either I work here or I’ll go somewhere else”
Amanda shook her head “I give up you are so stubborn, when do you want to start?”
  “Right now” I whispered
  “Of cause, you will work behind the counter”
I stared at her “No way I’ll serve and take orders it will keep me busy”
  “No, no you want Luke Mark to close down my café for making his girlfriend serve tables?”
I stared at her I almost laughed at her reaction “No such thing will happen relax; now where do you put the spare aprons?” I quickly stood up with goofy smile on my face
Amanda looked up at me “I wonder how Luke handles your stubbornness”
  “The way I handle his as we are both stubborn in our own ways” then I walked passed her and went to the office.”
  “Shockingly that doesn’t surprise me at all” Sipping her blueberry milk shake
I got ready wearing (Black T-shirt and Black apron) I worked the whole day and my mind was preoccupied from thinking too much about Luke
  “Table 6” Sully (barista) I went to the counter I took the tray order
  “Thank you Sully” I whispered
  “Table 10 is also ready”
I turned around “Okay thanks” I whispered then turned again and went to serve the order the day went on so fast then I expected to be in the afternoons Amanda closed the café I and her workers waited for her to close
“Okay guys thank you see you tomorrow” Amanda whispered
  “Okay bye Amanda, Bianca it was great working with you today” Emma whispered
I smiled “Thanks I had a great time also bye”
  “Bye Ms Amanda, bye Bianca”
I waved at everyone “Bye guys” Amanda walked me to my car while hugging each other I was tired
  “So you are going back to Luke’s house?” Amanda asked
I sighed “No I’m just gonna go to my loft take a hot bath and watch a movie on Netflix” I unlocked my car
Amanda was surprised “Wow I’m surprised since you practically living there most of the time”
  “Yeah because Luke Mark is greedy and don’t want to see me at my place but if I go there I’ll miss him more so I’ll go to my place”
Amanda smiled “Okay but if you need anything just call alright?”
I opened the car door “Yes I will”
  “And tomorrow don’t show up here you on leave you should rest not serve tables”
Being shocked and disappointed “Amanda come on what I’m I going to do the whole day I’ll go crazy I swear”
  “Go shopping you’ve been complaining that your clothes are old you need new once that is your chance”
I stared at her “Right” knotting my head “So what do you want?”
  “Nothing”
  “Yeah right out with it what is it?”
  “Bianca I don’t want anything” Amanda whispered
I gazed at her with narrow eyes “Amanda I’ve known you more than your boyfriend does so what is it that you want?”
She pouted her lips “Well there is this blue blazer that I saw at (The FIX) I’ve been meaning to get but I’ve been really busy here at the café can you pass there and buy it for me?”
I looked at her and opened the car door again “Fine, bye” I got in the car and fasten the seatbelt and rolled down the window
  “I love you drive safely okay” Amanda whispered
  “Will do thank you” I whispered then I drove off as I was driving I thought of calling Luke  but I stopped myself I went to the grocery store as it had been a while since I had been in my apartment so I needed to buy some food.
When I got at the store I took a trolley and pushed it walking around the browsing what to buy I took (Prawns, Steak, Couscous, Pasta, Sauces, Ice cream, oven popcorn, Stir fry and pre prepped vegetables) I went to the paying counter
  “Hello how are you?” Amber (Cashier) asked
  “Hey I’m good thanks and yourself?” I replied
  “I’m good too thank you” she scanned everything “Do you have store reward card?”
  “No I don’t” I replied and looked at the screen for total I took out my bank card in my purse as I was holding it with my hand
  “Ma'am can I make you a reward card?”
  “No I’m good thank you maybe next time”
She smiled at me “Okay please tap your card on POS please” gesturing with her hand
I tapped my card and putted my card back in my purse again I helped the cashier to peck everything in the shopping bags
  “Thank you enjoy the rest of your day” taking my bags
  “You too” Amber whispered
I left the counter and headed to the exit door the sliding doors opened as I passed I walked back at my car I unlocked the car and opened the back door and putted my bags inside I closed the door  and got at the front then drove off from the parking lot.

I unlocked my apartment door and got inside I walked to the kitchen I putted my shopping bags at the counter then walked to the stair to go to the bedroom I took my shoes off and worn my sleepers went to the bathroom and opened water on the bathtub I went back down to the kitchen I unpacked everything and putted them in their own places after I headed back up to the bathroom I poured (Berry fantasy bubble bath and relaxing oil) in the water the bath foamed and the fragrance was amazing I closed the bathtub taps went to the bedroom and changed my clothes and worn my (Bathrobe) and went to take my hot bubble bath as I was relaxing I heard my phone vibrating when I looked at the screen it was my handsome tall man
I answered:
I smiled “Baby”
  “Hello beautiful how are you?”
  “Apart from missing you a lot I’m fine and you?”
  “I miss you too babe so what did you do the whole day?”
  “I worked at Amanda’s café it’ not that long I got home I’m taking a hot bath now just to relax a bit”
  “Working you on leave babe come on now you should be resting”
I sighed “I know baby but I needed to something to occupy me but now I’m in my apartment”
  “Okay please don’t exhaust yourself”
  “Fine” I whispered while playing with foam “Have you reached yet?”
  “Yes just a while ago I’m so tired what are you going to do after your bath?”
I breathed out heavily “Watch a movie on Netflix or series I’ll see”
  ‘Okay I have to go now I love you and sleep well also dream about me”
I smiled “Okay I love you too bye bye”
I hung up the phone
After I finished taking a bath I lotion my body and wore my (Pink contrast shorts pyjamas) I went down to the kitchen took an ice cream from the fridge and walked to my couch I switch on the  TV and browsed through Netflix to find what to watch I randomly picked a movie and started my ice  cream I pulled my wool blanket to cover myself I watched the movie while eating my chocolate walnut ice cream as the movie went on I eventually fell asleep on the couch my phone beeped but I was deep asleep already
On the screen “Good night beautiful”
In morning around 4 am I woke up due to the alarm I had set earlier with my blurry eyes I took my phone next to me I unlocked the screen then I saw Luke’s message then I replied to his message as LA would night time due to time difference
I texted him “Good night babe sleep well” with a kiss Emoji
Then I got back to my beauty sleep at least for 2 to 3 more hours to wake up for the day I snuggled on my couch again in late morning I woke up flexing myself I stood up on the couch and dragged my blanket up stairs covering myself I folded it when I got at the bedroom then I went to take a shower when I was done I worn (Black blazer mix with blue jean sleeves, White razor back vest, Blue skinny jean and Black wedge) I walked down stairs and made some granola with some fresh berries when I was done I washed the bowl and rinsed it then putted aside I took my car keys, phone, my bag  and left the my apartment closing the door behind me.
I went to the mall walked around and bought few clothes and Amanda’s blazer I went to the restaurant for lunch I ordered some (Green salad and crispy chicken breast) they brought also some salad dressing I had spent most of the day at mall then went to the spa to get some massage after I went to the salon and got my hair and nails done.
The week had passed quickly while Luke and I we were communicating through phone calls and video chat when he gets the chance from his work I also tried my best not disturb him so he can finish his work and return home soon on the other hand I had spent my week most at my apartment relaxing and working as little as possible just to pass the time but now I was so excited as tomorrow was my 30th birthday the sad thing was Luke wasn’t gonna be there as he his work was not finished yet.
Amanda had organised a small party for me I went to the venue she texted me I looked around seeing the arrows for directions leading me to where the party is held I opened the doors where the arrows stops
As soon as I got inside I heard “Happy birthday Bianca” Everyone yelled I smiled while being shocked and surprised the room was beautiful with balloons and the grass backdrop with my initial on it decorated with flowers the décor had match my dress as I had worn (A-Line midi dress – half sleeve solid colour buttons summer shirt collar casual daily holiday loose army green and black heels) with long straight ponytail hairstyle
Amanda and Shane came to me “Happy birthday” Amanda whispered
  “I thought you were going to do something small what’s all this?”
Shane smiled at me “Well Luke had another plan in mind he asked us to surprise you everything is been paid for he said that since he can’t be here but you should celebrate your day in a grant way”
I was truly surprised that Luke had planned my party even though he was not around everyone came wishing me even people I didn’t know I had never seen so many gifts in my entire life I went to the backdrop took some pictures also with Amanda and Shane I even saw Amanda’s workers at the party I took pictures with others who wanted to take pictures with me
Amanda went to the stage “Ladies and gentle may I have your attention please” we all looked at the stage “Thank you first of all I want say thank you for coming today we are here to celebrate my best friend Bianca 30th birthday” We all clapped for her “What can I say about Bianca she’s been my best friend since college she’s the most stubborn but loving person you can never imagine if you get to know her well you will find out that she is the jam of all and I’m so lucky to have her as a friend Bianca happy birthday” I whipped my tears away and clapped for her
  “Thank you” I mumbled she walked to me and we hugged each other being emotional “That was beautiful thank you”
Amanda went to the back and came pushing the trolley of the cake it was (Black, white and rose gold ivory) it was three tier with middle sequins painted and sparklers
Everyone sung happy birthday song for me that moment I wished Luke could’ve been with me but I was happy that he had planned such a wonderful party for me the party went on we danced others they were drinking until they got drunk it was fun enjoying with friends after a long time not celebrating my birthday it was a well spend birthday party indeed.
The party went on until 10pm or so Shane and Amanda helped me to put the birthday presents in my car the whole back seat was fully packed
I hugged Amanda “Thank you I had a great time and it was beautiful”
  “I’m glad you enjoyed your day” Amanda whispered
I hugged Shane “Thank you Shane” we broke the hug
He smiled at me “You are welcome I will gladly report to Luke that the party was a success” he opened the car door for me
  “Thank you drive safely”
  “You too” Amanda whispered
  “Will do good night guys” then I got the car and closed the door started the car and drove off from the parking lot I turned on some music while I was driving back home after I got to my apartment carried the gifts bags Inside few by few I putted them on the couch and headed up stairs to my bedroom I took a shower and wore my pyjamas as I was tired I just went straight to bed then I saw that I had video message from Luke
Video message:
Hey beautiful
I made this short video message for you as I’m not there with you on your special day I want say that I love you and thank you for coming into my life and may your birthday make you more beautiful, sweet and kind so you can fill my life with more of your happiness cause with each year I’ll love you more and more I hope you enjoyed your day to the fullest.
Happy Birthday Babe!
I smiled with tears on my eyes “How sweet thanks babe” I putted the phone down on the side the drawer and turned off the side bed lamp and went to sleep.
In the middle of the night the door opened and someone walked in and gently climbed the stairs walked towards the bed and sat on the bed behind me and gently laid on me I suddenly woke up feeling startled
  “Shush… it’s me”
I looked up and turned “Baby” I hugged him tightly we broke the hug
He looked down on me and gave passionately kiss that was out of this world I enjoyed as I had missed him for the whole week
We broke the kiss “When did you come?” I asked
  “Just now I came straight here Happy belated Birthday babe”
I smiled feeling emotional “Thank you baby” I gave him kiss that was the most intense and passionate late birthday gift from him was worth the wait and the passionate love making.
The next day we woke up fooling around in bed as his fond of tickling me I just couldn’t escape from we took bath together had our breakfast then he helped me to open the presents I got for my birthday some were very interesting like lingerie and jewellery we had spent the whole day at my apartment relaxing and spending some quality time together.
