Also, in England, we call semesters academic years so you may get confused coz I'm writing this in British POV.
Y/F/N= Your Full Name

The cute guy led to the class that I was meant to go to for registration. The teacher stopped me and talked to me before letting me sit down.
"Ah, hello," he said. "I am Mr. Owens. Welcome to Beacon Hills High School. You must be Y/F/N."
"Yes, sir." I replied
He handed me a couple of sheets of paper. "Here is your timetable and another map of the school in case you lose yours. I hope you settle in here okay and if you do have any questions, concerns or worries then feel free to tell me." He smiled kindly.
"Thank you." I smiled back.
He turned towards the class and said. "Good morning. I hope you had a nice break and are ready to start the new semester here. This is (Y/F/N) and she has just moved from England." He gestured to me and I felt the heat rise up in my cheeks. "(Y/N) why don't you sit behind Allison."

A brunette girl raised her hand. She was very pretty and was wearing a floral dress with a short skirt and long, poofy sleeves. I made my way  to the empty seat, feeling everyone's eyes boring into my back. I sat down and looked back up at the teacher. "Im just gonna take the register." He started posting off names and having replies of "yes sir". Once it was over, he said "Talk amongst yourselves. I have to get a class ready."

Once he had his back turned, Allison faced me.
"Hey! I'm Allison." She said.
"Hi, I'm (Y/N)." I replied.
She smiled. "So, you moved from England."
I grinned. "Yeah, yeah I did."
"What was England like then?" Another voice asked. I looked up to see a strawberry blonde girl wearing a short pink skirt and a pink shirt with a light blue jumper over the top with the sleeves rolled up. She was leaning against my desk. "I'm Lydia."
"Hey. Um, I'm (Y/N). England is a lot colder than it is here and not as sunny. In September, it's raining about 70% of the time."
"Do you miss anyone?" Allison asked.
"Yeah. I really miss by best friend Mia. (A/N Mia is my bff. Go check her stuff out. Her main account is doritozanddip and she has another one which a couple stories on too: mrssmalfoy08) She was amazing. We are still in touch though but the time difference is eight hours so we call in the mornings." I smiled sadly. Allison reached out and patted my arm, comforting me.

I scanned the room and saw the cute boy staring off into space and chatting with another guy. The bell went and the class got ready to leave. The teacher shouted over the hullabaloo to have a good first day. The guy, who's name I learnt was Stiles caught up with me when I left the room. "Hey, (Y/N)." He said. "What lesson have you got next?"
"Umm," I checked my timetable, "History." I answered.
"So do I. Which room?"
"Hi972"
"I shall show you the way." He out on a false English accent. It was terrible.

On the way to history, I was introduced to two more people. Isaac and Jackson. We chatted until Lydia, Scott and Jackson had to go off to Geography. Isaac had to go to the loo so he said he would meet us in the lesson. Stiles and I walked in silence for a minute before he piped up. "So, do you know much about American history?"
I smiled. "A bit. I know a couple of presidents and all the words to Hamilton. Other than that, there isn't much that I know."
"Ah," he said, nodding.
We got to our history room and the teacher pulled me aside to talk with me. I saw Stiles save a seat behind him for me.

I spent most of history doodling and daydreaming when Mr. Yukamira was talking and doing work when he told us to. The lessons were only 50 minutes long compared to our hour ones back home. Once the lesson was over, we had maths- or as the Americans called it "math". In the lesson, we were covering algebra which absolutely no one likes. I was the first to finish so the teacher told me to relax or read. I took out the book I was currently reading. Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell. On the 13 hour flight from Birmingham Airport to LAX, I finished two books and got halfway through another. It's very hard to sleep when you are flying at 38,000 altitude over the Atlantic Ocean- I slept for 18 hours afterwards.

The bell went and we packed up. It was break time now. I followed Stiles and Allison into the quadrangle. It was mostly concrete but had small plants ringing the outside. It had picnic benches dotted around. We sat down at a bench, waiting for the others. Once Scott arrived with Lydia, Isaac and an Asian girl, Stiles got him to move another bench against the edge of the one we had been sitting on. The Asian girl was called Kira. She was my history teacher's daughter and had joined the school half way through her sophomore year. I sat down in between Lydia and Stiles and put my bag on the table, taking out a Kit Kat to eat. I got lost in the chatter of my new friends. I had a good feeling about this place. I,also loved the fact that the guys weren't dicks like they were in my old school.
