My first week at Beacon Hills High School was probably as good as moving to a new school could be. I made loads of new friends and Stiles and I got much closer. I got into a habit of sneaking careful glances in his direction which I found myself doing rather a lot. It was easy to do because he was in all of my classes.

I found out that in two weeks, Lydia would turn 17. She usually had massive parties at at her house. This year was no exception. On the Tuesday of my second week at Beacon Hills, me, Lydia, Allison, Kira and her girlfriend Malia went to the local mall and went shopping for dresses. I usually didn't wear them but it was a special occasion.

We went into a shop called Macy's which was massive. There were endless rails of dresses and racks of shoes. Immediately, Lydia spotted something and gasped. She ran over to one of the dresses and picked it out. It was a baby blue number which only covered the necessary parts. "Y/N! This would suit you so well!" Lydia called out.
I looked at it sceptically. "I do not have that type of self confidence. It's tiny!" I remarked.
"All the better." She put it against my body admiring it on me. "Stiles would like it." She added in a murmur.
I looked at her wide eyed. I hadn't told anyone apart from Mia about that.
"Oh come on. Don't look so surprised. It's obvious." I made some incomprehendable sputtering noises. "He likes you too." She said it so nonchalantly. "Tell him at the party." She had abandoned the attempt to get me to wear the blue dress and was filing through a rack of equally short dresses.

Lydia whipped out a terrifyingly tight and short black leather dress and turned to a mirror, putting it against her to see how it would look on her.
It looked as if it would just cover her butt. She nodded and slung it over her arm then went back to looking for more clothes. Malia came behind me and whispered in my ear. "If it was up to me, I would have worn a pair of shorts and a t-shirt."
"Same." I nodded, "but, Lydia asked us too and we need to be nice to her."
She sighed. "Why do you always want to please people?" She walked away back to Kira who she kissed on the nose and wrapped her arm around her waist. Allison seemed to have found a nice silver pleated skirt and a light blue crop top and had gone over to Lydia to seek advice.

I wondered around the shop looking at the variety of clothes they offered. I scanned the store when something caught my eye. It was a leather jacket but was coloured beautifully, like a sunrise. It was pink and blue with cloud shaped dotted around. I walked over to it to take a closer look and took it off the rail. I had to buy this. I threw it over my arm and went off in search of something I could wear under it.

(Its beautiful)

After 10 minutes of searching, I found a black jumpsuit. It had 3/4 length legs that belled out towards the bottom. The top looked like a regular t-shirt with gold buttons going down the centre and it had belt loops around the waist. I took it and smiled. Now this was my style. Allison came over. She looked at what I had with me and smiled. "That will suit you. I think we should go and find a belt for that." She took me to another aisle which had rows of belts. She picked out a gold belt which looked like a snake. It reminded me of Isabelle Lightwood's whip.

We paid at the checkout and I ended up fumbling and stuttering. I am terrible at social contact.

I was in Lydia's bathroom getting changed for the party which was in an hour. I threw aside my ripped blue jeans and stepped into the black jumpsuit. I shrugged it over my shoulders and did the buttons up. The snake belt that Allison picked out fitted around my waist as if it was made for me. I took the leather jacket and slid my arms into it. Opening the bathroom door, I stepped out to see Lydia open a huge palette of eyeshadow and bring out multiple sticks and containers of things I didn't even know the names or uses of. I sighed. It had been a bad idea to let her do my makeup. I slid my feet into my pastel pink converse that were sitting outside the bathroom and wandered hesitantly over to her vanity. This next hour was going to be a long one.
