Zanithar continued walking through the cold, glancing over his shoulder every so often. For whatever the reason, he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. He carried Klepto the whole way back to the village. He found the inn and got a room for him and his comrade. A few days passed before he woke up.
"What happened?"
"The bird betrayed us."
"Where is he?"
"Dead."
"Heh... about time." Klepto grinned and tried to stand but immediately fell to the ground.
"Can't walk yet. Lay back down."
"I'm fine." He said wiping some blood from his lip.
"If you say so." Zanithar said, walking out of the room.
"Where are you going?"
"Tavern, I need a drink." He said walking further away. Kelpto walked out behind him trying to keep his composure. Zanithar opened the door and let in a burst of freezing wind and snow before walking out. Kelpto slowly followed behind, leaning against a wall for support. He continued walking u til he reached the tavern. He sat at the bar and waited for Kelpto, who after a few minutes limped through the door. Zanithar just turned and ordered a drink from the barkeep when a voice came from behind spoke up.
"How long have you walked for, traveler?" The voice said. Zanithar and Kelpto turned to the back of the bar to see a hooded figure sitting at a table. Zanithar aimed his gun at him.
"Who are you?" He said walking towards him. The man put his hands up, the sleeves of his cloak falling to his elbows.
"I mean no harm. I am the Seer. I find those in need of my services and can only be seen by them. Just look around." Klepto turned and it was true, no one was reacting to the man in the corner. "I sell items that cannot be obtained very easily." He said with a raspy voice. He waved his hands across the table and a various array of strange items appeared. Zanithar approached the table and picked up a stick. "Press the button on the side." The Seer said, pointing at the stick. He rotated the stuck and once he found the button, he pressed it and nothing happened. The Seer told him to let go of the stick so he did and to everyone's surprise it floated. Zanithar tried to move it but it wouldn't budge.
"How much?" He said, after pressing the button once more to unlock it.
"1000" He said. Zanithar handed him the gold and walked away, Klepto following behind. "I'll see you again, travelers."
