The wind whipped past me. The roaring of my bikes engine fueling my need to win. This rice was the most important part of my year. All the other races were just practice for this one. The L.A women's motorcycle race. If you were any type of serious about biking this is the race you'd go to.
Victoria woods was the only thing standing between me and the twenty thousand dollar prize. She's one of the most well known dirt bikers in the state. And little old me who's only been biking for three years is trying to beat her. She's been biking since she was three.
It's against the odds but I still have hope.
My breath was hot. Sweat was dripping from damn near every part of me. I kept going. Over the rough territory. One more lap is all I have.
Pumping the gas in hope of getting a speed boost. I look down for a fraction of a second. That's all it took. I hit a tree full force. My vision went black for a fess seconds. For some reason I didn't feel that much pain
A horn was heard, stopping the race. Dammit that was my only chance.
Out of the corner of my eye I could see multiple people rushing towards me. One of them being Victoria. That shocked me more than hitting the tree.
"213 you okay," I tried to answer a cough came out instead. I was starting the feel a shit ton of pain now. Mainly in my shoulder.
"She's obviously not okay ref she just hit a damn tree going 80 miles an hour. Now help me move her bike out of the way," Victoria yelled angrily. She knows more about this than me and the ref.
"im the ref here. its my job so you can stop bossing me around. ill have disqualified from this competition,"
"You know damn well me even stepping foot in this place is paying for your job so help me get the damn bike and shut up. She needs to see a doctor now,"
Despite the referee's anger he listened to Victoria. The bike was moved and some of the pains stopped. I tried to get up my ankle shot bursts of pain through my leg.
"Fuck," I hissed. Black dots appeared in my vision.
"Don't pass out yet," I heard one of them say. Let's just say I did exactly that.
When I woke up I was in a sorta of medical tent. I show it when I drove here.
What would Michael think right now.
I was alone in a bed so I got up and went to my car. I had to ignore the searing pain I felt when walked. My shoulder wasn't much better. I avoid moving my right arm all together.
As I neared me and my fiancé's shared home the pain started getting worse. I knew I'd have to hide my injuries when I actually got to the house but for right now I'd cry it out.
Each passing mile made me want to tell him more and more. I knew I couldn't. He'd go all doctor on me and make me go to the hospital. I didn't want that. I hate hospitals and anything to do with them. Besides Michael.
After a long 20 minutes drive I finally made it home. I could see southy and moose moose being walked. Michael was unfortunately the one walking them. As soon as he saw my car he re directed our shared animals back to the house. He of course waited for me to park before running up to the car.
I opened the door minding my shoulder. "Hi baby," I smiled at him. He smiled his perfect smile and kissed me as his hello.
"Where have you been all day? Me and the kids have missed you,"
I looked down at our dogs.
"These are dogs Michael, not children," I laughed lightly. The motion hurt my shoulder slightly. I hid the pain as best I could. Which wasn't very well considering how low of a pain tolerance I have.
"There my children and you'll just have to except that. But you didn't answer my question where have you been all day," we were standing outside of the car and he wasn't letting this go.
"I was running some errands,"
It's not like I could just tell him about the racing. He'd go all doctor Michael and tell me how dangerous it is, make me stop doing it all together.
That can't happen. I needed the racing.
His eyes scanned my body. His gaze stayed on my shoulder for longer than I wanted it to. Concern soon flashed in those green eyes I'd loved for since we met.
"Darling, do you want to tell me why your shoulder is dislocated,"
My face paled.
"It's not," I pushed out. A grunt of pain left my mouth when his hand gently touched my shoulder.
He rolled his eyes. I'd been found out. I'm fine and he's knows that, it's pointless to make a big deal out of this.
Michael motioned to our house. "Come on then. Let's fix you up,"
"No hospital?" I questioned. He knew how I felt about his work. If that place could be avoided I'd be over joyed.
"No hospital darling, just let me make sure your okay,"
I say beside Michael on the sofa. He wrapped my cuts and assured me that I wouldn't need stitch's.
"Yay," I mumbled.
"I really shouldn't let you go to those races," he said as he focused on my shoulder.
Fuck he knew.
"This might hurt,"
He gently gripped my shoulder and arm. He pushed my shoulder forward.
"Fuck!" I screamed. He wrapped his arms around me. "I hate you," I whimpered.
He chuckled. "No you don't love. Your just in pain. Let's get you some pain killers and I'll put you to bed,"
I pouted at him.
"We'll talk about the racing when you feel better,"
My last update in this book. I hope this is okay. I'm sorry it took so long and that it's not good. It's been fun while it lasted. Ily all and thank you for everything. ❤️
