Snowy Saimatsu Angst

it had been weeks since they had both realized their feelings... it felt so relieving to see her again. she shyly smiled at him and looked away, quickly walking away. he naturally felt hurt as his heart sank. he frowned and called out "KAEDE!" he chased after her and pulled her into a hug. she felt tears roll down her cheeks "what's wrong Kaede?" she looked up at him "don't worry...I'm ok" he frowned and kissed her forehead, causing her to blush "promise?" she nodded "promise." he smiled and took her hand.

"so where to? do you have class?" he tilted his head. she shook her head "no class starts in an hour...we can do whatever" he hummed and nodded "I just kinda.... wanna go on a walk you know?" she nodded. she looked outside at the snowfall. "hm it's actually snowing" he looked outside and smiled "hah! i guess so..." he hadn't felt happy in weeks... she was like his ray of sunshine.

Kaede skipped outside with a giggle "c'mon!" he smiled and chased after her. he let out a chuckle "slow down kae-kae!" she stopped to let him catch up "sorry you're slow" she snickered and sighed. he took her hand again and they began to walk. "i love when it snows" he said softly. he gripped her hand. he didn't wanna die. he didn't wanna leave her here...he would stay...for her...

Kaede looked up at him "hm? you're drifting off shuichi!" she giggled and nudged him "c'mon! I'm not that boring!" she teased. he quickly dispelled her claim "no Kaede! that's not it! i just have alot on my mind" he reassured her. she scoffed "I know stinky shuichi" she giggled along with him. he looked at the shorter blonde and sighed. he felt so unexplainably happy around her. she just pushed him to be a better person.

Kaede looked at him and felt nothing but pure joy and peace with him. it was serenity. she could just be herself around him...she didn't have to worry about her life or school or anything just...him. he made her so happy... so happy. she sighed softly "thank you shuichi...for being here with me. i don't know what I'd do without you" she kissed his hand "you mean the world to me shushu." she had a small smile and a blush across her cheeks.

as she said that tears pricked at his eyes..."you really want me around...wow i-... I've never heard that before" he sniffled and wiped at his eyes. "thank you Kaede...you give me a reason to stay. so thank you." he smiled at her and wrapped his arms around her, not having a worry in the world. all he had to worry about was losing her, and even now it didn't concern him. he released the hug and they continued their walk until she inevitably had class. he took her to class and bid farewell. he went back to his room a bit gloomy without her.
