Ivy approached Barten as he was placing something on the ground, she saw the thing light up and create a beacon of light. She tapped on his shoulder, he gave her a cold stare and he stood up from the ground.
Ivy: Hey, Asellus told me to ask you about your universe.
Barten: Why do you wanna know?
Ivy: I found it interesting.
Barten: Then why don't you ask him?
Ivy: He told me to ask you.
Barten: What a cunt. What do you wanna hear about?
Ivy: Everything.
Barten: sigh The world treated us like trash so we treated it the same way.
Ivy: I saw that, give me the details.
Barten: I still don't get why you need to know. That universe was meant to die with us.

It started when Asellus was brought along to that camp, he was accompanied by a girl named Grae. They got taken away for getting too close, when he came back...he was completely different. I saw anger uncomparable by anyone in his eyes. To give you some context, we had powers but we had to use devices that dampened them when we were in the camps, if we tried taking them off we would die instantly. Here's the thing though, Asellus managed to deactivate his through pure rage. When he did that, he grabbed my hand and passed half his power to me which is how mine was deactivated. We basically overcharged the devices to make them stop, once we took them off...Asellus said a few things to me. "I'm tired of this world, let's topple everything and make THEM beg for mercy."

After that, he destroyed everyone else's devices with the snap of a finger and guards ran into the room trying to neutralize all of us. Asellus and I started killing them without remorse, after all those years of suffering we weren't gonna let them off easily. I started helping everyone while Asellus relentlessly kept killing all the guards. We had alerted everyone in the country with this breakout attempt. Luckily, Asellus' power helped us escape all that, you see, whenever he killed someone, he stole all their powers. Naturally, he got even more powerful after killing so many guards.
Ivy: If the guards had powers, why did you all need to fight?
Barten: Because to them we were...the 'inferior' race. They used us to not have casualties of their own.
Asellus and Jules walked over to the two.
Barten: We'll continue later.

She went over to Asellus, hugged him, and walked towards her house.
Asellus: What just happened?
Barten: Don't worry about it, why are you all here?
Asellus: Jules wanted to see how that thing works.
Jules: You know I can talk, right?
Asellus: You can? What a surprise.
Jules: Mira cabron, let me talk next time.

Jules: Anyways yeah, how does that thing work?
Barten: You build a platform of valuable materials under it and then give it some more materials for it to activate.

Barten: When you're in its area of effect it amplifies your powers a bit.
Jules: So you did all that work just for that?
Barten: Well, we'll have to survive till the higher-ups noticed we cleared this realm. Sometimes they take years to notice.
Jules: Wait, ya'll are done?
Asellus: Yeah, you all joined this journey halfway through it.
Jules: So we can just chill now?
Asellus: Basically, we'll eventually have to tell you how not all dimensions are the same. Some of them use a different power system.
Jules: Oh?
Barten: Yeah, some can be a lot more complicated. You're honestly lucky you landed in one of the easiest ones.
Jules: What would be one of the harder dimensions?
Barten: Well...we don't know what are some of the hardest ones.
Asellus: Yeah...

Asellus jumped from the scare, he looked back and saw Ivy with the fire sword.

He left Barten and Jules to go with Ivy.
