"Yeah!" shouted Hiccup as Toothless obliterated the target with a plasma blast. They circled the last pole in the obstacle course and landed in the clearing. It was almost a year since he had become chief, and Hiccup was enjoying himself immensely.
"Hiccup, yeh might want t' take a break and give everyone else a chance," said Gobber as the five dragons landed.
"What? Oh, well, Toothless-" Hiccup was cut off as Astrid smacked his head.
"Hey, give the rest of us a chance!" she said. "We don't all have Night Furies!"
"Sorry, Astrid, but-"
"Hey, Hiccup!" called Tuffnut. "Can Toothless do this?" He yelled. Barf and Belch tied their heads up into a knot.
"See!" cried Ruffnut ecstatically. "He'd have to grow a second head to do that!"
"Yeah, great," said Hiccup. "I think that's a Zippleback only trick."
"Yeah, it is!" yelled the muffled voice of Tuffnut, lost somewhere between the dragons' necks. "I taught 'em everything they know."
"No you didn't," said Ruffnut. The twins fell to bickering while their dragon tried to untangle itself.
"Hey, Hiccup," said Snoutlout. "How 'bout I just-" Hiccup didn't stay to listen. They were fighting again, but this time he would just let Gobber sort it out. He jumped on Toothless and settled in, then they took off with a loud burst of wind, and headed for the clouds.
