It's been a few hours since we started to hang out. We were basically talking about everything and nothing at the same time. My stomach rumbled. I blushed in embarrassment. Nino chuckles. "Well Mare-bear, you seem hungry. What about we all go to a cafe?"
Alya piped up. "That's a great idea, Nino!"
"Thanks, Babe." Alya punches him playfully on the shoulder.
"I'm down!" Alix exclaimed.
"Me too!" Kim agreed.
Chloe nodded. "Sure why not? A simple snack won't hurt. But I'll warn you all, Americans serve bigger portions than French."(The people of France are called 'French', like the language spoken, in case you didn't know.)
"I'd like to eat," said Juleka.
"Me too," said Max.
"It's settled then," I pipe up and add, "We can go to the cafe across the street. That's where I ate my breakfast. It's pretty good." We make our way to the cafe. We place our orders.

"Wow! This cupcake is almost as good as Maribug's!" Chloe exclaimed. I chuckled.
"I can say the same about the croissant!" Alya exclaimed.
After we finished eating, I insisted on paying. That, of course, did not go very well with my friends.
"No, I'M paying!"
"But Alya-"
"Who said that you'll be the one to pay, Cesaire?! It's obviously moi! Imma do this, NO ARGUING!"
"Chloe-"
"You too, Dupain-Cheng! Don't think you're gonna be the one to pay!"
"Just let me pay, dudes and dudettes-"
"Nope, it's ME and THAT'S FINAL!" Chloe won the war and paid before any of us could. We left the cafe.
I noticed it was getting pretty dark. I checked the time. 7:30. "Hey, guys, it's 7:30 and it's getting pretty dark. I think it's best if we call it a day and go back to our respective homes."
"Alright gurl," said Alya and added, "But first, a group hug and a selfie!" We have a group hug with them squishing me and taking a couple of selfies. And by a couple, I mean a lot thanks to DJWifi. But, ya gotta love 'em! I internally chuckle.
"Bye guys!"
"Bye Mari!" They said in unison. We went our separate ways to our respective homes.
When I arrived home, Jay tackled me into a hug. "Mare-bear! You were gone for so long, I got worried! Is everything alright?" I giggle at his worried face.
"Everything's alright, Jay. Like I said before, I went to hang out with my friends. We ended up hanging out later than usual," I explained. His face looked a little more relaxed.
"Good! Why don't you freshen up and then we can play a few board games or something?"
