Chapter 9- Looking Through A New Window

Kates Point of View:

Me and Terrance first date together weren't how I planned it to be. I wanted it to be a day to remember for years but, instead, all I did was make him mad at me. I thought telling him about the doctor would make him happier but, I guess not. Now that I'm sitting in my room thinking about maybe it wasn't such a good idea. We just meat and making a blind man see again was probably a big change for him and I just came at him. Out of nowhere, my phone rang. I looked at it and it was Chip. What could he want? I thought.

"Hey, girl! I have a question for you." Chip said with no confidence. I gasped.

He told me before multiple times that he hates all the hair on his body and his male parts but, I never thought he would change who he is.

"Kate, Kate are you still here?" Chip asked as if she hanged up on him.

"Yes, I'm still here. I'm just so surprised. I have known you all my life and I want the best for you. But... Changing who you are is a BIG change. Chip what will I even call you?" I asked while a tear rolled down my face.

"Kate I Hate Being A Male! I don't like all the hair and the male parts and I just don't feel comfortable in my body. As a female, you don't have as much hair, and come on you know I'm not meant to be a male." He said in a whisper tone.

"Chip what will I call you? You still have hair as a female. Plus the monthly pains. You are my best friend if you want to go through with this... I'm one hundred percent going to be supporting you all the way." I told him.

"Call me Charlotte. My parents said I can get a surgery on Saturday. I just wanted to talk to you first before I go through with it." He said.

"I'll be the first person you see on Saturday, Charlotte," I said with a big smile over the phone.

"I really appreciate it, Kate!" I have to go now. Don't forget! Bye," She said and then handed up.

It was too much to take in for one day. My guy best friend Chip is now known as Charlotte a girl. And he's getting surgery on Saturday and Terrance getting mad at me. What next? Am I just going to walk down the street and adopt a puppy? Whatever I do, I know it going to be a long week.
