- YOUR POV; as the practice matches with all the teams finish, you began to walk towards tobio. until you felt a tap on your shoulder.
"h-hey y/n," akaashi fiddled with his fingers.
"hi akaashi," you stated bluntly.
"well, i was wondering if you wanted to participate in our practice game?" he asked.
"sure, can tobio play too?" you asked.
"sure, if you want him to," akaashi sighed in annoyance.

you walked into the gym with tobio and cheyanne greeting everyone.
"alright we have the teams," bokuto smiled, "on team 1 it's, akaashi, hinata, y/n, cheyanne, and i! on team 2 it's, kuroo, kenma, lev, tsukki, and kageyama."
"can you please stop calling me that-" tsukishima groaned.
"nope!" bokuto cheered, "let's go!"
you walked to your side of the court with your team. "be prepared to lose tobiyolo," you whispered to him.
"stop calling me that," he groaned, "and i'll be the winner."
"as if," you let out a small laugh.
◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢ TIME SKIP ◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢
as the practice match came to an end, you only needed one more point to win.
"psst, cheyanne," you whispered-yelled to her, "let's try the quick attack we've been learning."
"alright, sure!" she agreed.
the last set began again- then tobio was up to serve. he did a simple serve instead of a jump-serve.
cheyanne thankfully received it and sent it to you. when you set the ball, cheyanne was already in the air ready to spike. as you set the ball to her. she spiked it down. it quickly slammed to the floor with a loud 'thud' indicating we got a point.
(a/n: LMFAO DID I EVEN EXPLAIN THAT RIGHT?)
"HEY HEY HEY!" bokuto cheered, fist-pumping the air. "good job cheyanne!" he hugged her.
"t-thanks bokuto," she mumbled in his chest, "b-but i c-can't breathe.."
bokuto let cheyanne go, "o-oh! sorry!" he rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"good job y/n," akaashi lightly smiled.
you turned to him, "oh, thanks. you too."
"thank you," he said, you nodded. you walked off towards kageyama leaving a frown on the setter's face.
"you lost, tobio~" you teased.
"shut up. that quick-attack you managed to actually do was just a one-time thing," he scoffed.
"aw~ is the king a little bit, salty?" tsukishima interjected.
"shut up," tobio snapped back, "you're one to talk."
"uh, hey guys! come eat now if you want dinner," you looked to the door and saw yukie and kaori. we all nodded our heads walking to the cafeteria.
after dinner, you finished showering and started walking back to your room. as you turned the corner you saw your dumb cousin.
"hey, tobi-yoyo," you smiled.
"stop with the stupid nicknames," he clicked his tongue.
"okay okay," you laughed, "good job in the practice game."
"thanks- you too. i knew you were going to be good since i did teach you. but i didn't expect you to be that good," he complimented.
"thank you," you smiled, "anyways imma sleep now. night- love you," you said.
"night," he said walking past you.
"say it back!" you turned around.
"nope."
"tobio-"
"love you too, goodnight," he said in a low voice so only you can hear him.
as you began to walk back to your room, what you didn't know ifs that akaashi heard the whole thing leaving his heart breaking into pieces.
