Katherine sighed and looked at you. She was tied to a chair and had been left in the middle of the room, where the sunlight wouldn't hit. But for the next few hours she couldn't escape. At least not until sunset.

Which was probably why the Salvatores had rushed off and left you in charge with a sharp stick that was gripped firmly in your hands. You'd asked her all sorts of questions and at first she'd been messing with you until she realised you were writing down what she had to say and that you weren't fact checking her. After an hour you admitted that everyone had some exciting relative to do their history project for college. So you'd picked Katherine since you couldn't find anyone else.

"So what was it like when you died?" You asked as you swapped the stick for the pen again. Katherine sighed and lolled her head back before sighing and looking at you.

"I mean it wasn't great but sometimes there were some perks." Katherine muttered before smiling and looking at you "Hey, cool, I'm dead."

"It's cool to be dead?" You asked about uncertainty.

"Not at first but eventually it was, liberating." When you looked up at her you jumped back. She had gotten free and her eyes were black with veins spreading over her cheeks and under her eyes. Damon and Stefan flashed into the room in a blur. They restrained her again as she laughed. "It's fun after a while. Feeling so dangerous and powerful all the time." She smiled at you as Stefan led you out of the room.
