Chapter 9

We had two days left to prepare for another match. This match leads us to the second round.  If we fail it . it means we have finally lost and no way am i going to let that happen.

Didn't know where King lived and he wasn't at the training house so there was one person to contact so i could get to King and that was Nia.

I sat at the restaurant that i once saw her work. I was so into my thoughts that i didn't notice her. "Am i speaking to someone? "She asked.
"Oh sorry. I ..." i tired to complete my sentence but she cut me off. "Is there anything you would like?" she asked staring at the mini pad and pen in her hands. "I would like King's home address please. "I asked.
She looked away feom the book and stared at me. "Why?" She asked.
"Its about the following game that is coming and i need to talk to him." i replilook at her surroundings very pissed off. "Look her. King doesn't need you to babysit him. Okay! I am warning to do your job and stay away from him. He doesn't need a cheat like you. "She said and then walked away. People were just staring at me.

I decided to go to PC baangs, the internet café.  I spent my whole day there playingames. "You know itvis late right? "A man asked. I faced the guy next to me and i was shocked to see king. "When did you arrive? "I asked him. He stared at his computer screen for some couple of minutes.  "An hour ago." he replied. I stared at him confused. He has been here for long yet he has been silent all this time. This dirty pig if just like his best friend Nia. I even think they are dating. What am i saying of cause they are. "It is late i girl like you shouldn't be out at this time."he said.
"It is no eve that late."i replied. He lifted his eyebrow. "It is midnight. "He said. I immediately checked my phone and he was right and i saw calls from Boki and Kim. Too bad my phone was on silent. I immediately shut down the computer and ran out. I was tryi to get a taxi. "I can drop you home." King said from behind me. "No." i replied. In about two seconds it started raining. I can sense that King was smiling. He must see it funny. "Are you dropping me home or not?" i asked angrily.

"King i noticed you have been pulling the team down . i don't know what ypur deal is but you better put yourself together. "Snapped. He stopped infront of the house. I got out of the car. He watched me head to the door without saying a word. Ok i know i was kind of rude to him but i believe he needed to hear it. I opened the door and i bumped into Kim. "Where have you been? You have missed the entertainment. "Kim said. Before i could ask him what i missed he started talking. "Boki brought Loran over and i was here with Osih. She wanted to come over but when she saw Loran her attitude changed. She was silent the whole day. I think she was about to crack and she did when Loran talked all about herself and how special she is. Osih insulted her and walked out. O don't blame her. She always had a crush on Boki since childhood. It is sad he never noticed her." Kim said.

I couldn't sleep all night and i needed to talk to someone and the only person i feel comfortable withbis Fres. I called Fres in the middle of the night. He wouldn't pick up. Him must be asleep.

I got out of my room anf headed to the kitchen.  Then there was a knock on the door. I got out of the kitchen and walked to it. He would be here at this time. It could be Mic. But at my surprise when i opened the door i was staring at Double. He had tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry it is just that i needed someone to talk to."he said
"Ok sit down and tell me everything. "I said as he sat on the couch. I also did the same and watched him wipe his tears. "Verlon is going to be off the machine tomorrow morning. By tomorrow she supposed to be operated because her head has also been injuried. King and Nia has been trying to make enough money to help me pay for Velon's operation. If she doesn't get operated tomorrow's she won't survive? "He said. I have to be honest i felt sad for him but King's name got my attention. "How does King know your sister?" I asked.
"King is our cousin." Double said.  I was shocked. No wonder Nia had two jobs. To pay Verlon's operating bills. She wanted to help King. I dislike her but she did a nice thing. I told to wait while i ran to my room. I took out an envelope that contains eight hundred and twenty two thousand. Grandpa gave it to me as a gift. I could waste it how ever i like. That is what he said. I think it be useful to Double.

I walked towards Double and handed him the envelop as hr stared at me confused. "Double promise me you won't tell anyone about this even King. I hope this money is enough for the operation. And promise me you will focus on your sister and the game and please keep King on the game too. Make him practice. "I said. Double stood up and hugged me. "Thank you. "He said.

I entered the training house and i wasn't surprised that Mic,Fres and Rush was there. I knew they were all pissed off that Double and King hasn't been around for training. "Guys don't worry. I know tomorrow is an important match but let me assure you we will win. Why? Because we are together. And you got me. Look don't worry about King and Double. I know where they are and what they are doing so don't worry. Okay lets practice. "

We have been training for two hours then King and Double entered the building. He came towards me and hugged me. "My sister is ok. Thanks to you." He whispered only for me to hear. All the guys sat behind their computer and started playing.
