Hi to everyone who's made it this far! I never thought I'd get a number 1 ranking in anything on wattpad but here we are. I just hope you guys enjoy the story as much as I have writing it. Thank you all for indulging in my creativity, now back to where we left off 😊

The summer had finally come to an end. Shuffling around your dorm, you were just about finished with putting your clothes away and getting your things ready for tomorrow's classes. You had yet to say more than a few words to your brother since that day he'd walked in to find you and Bakugou. Both of you were still angry with one another, but for completely different reasons.

That night Bakugou never came back to your room. After his talk with your brother he completely ignored you, only talking with you when you had finally cornered him and demanded to know what had happened.

You remembered that night too well. He had avoided you at all costs for the remainder of your time at the beach house and the night before you left, you ran into him on your way outside. You remembered how emotional you had felt, your face hot with anger, upset because he was the one who promised things wouldn't change. He'd only looked down at you, his face completely blank and in an unusually monotone voice he told you, "Whatever was going on between us is over."

Your heart was completely crushed with how nonchalant he had acted about the whole thing. It was at that moment you understood what had happened. There was a choice between you and your brother, and he had picked Eijiro. Not that you blamed him, but it still hurt nonetheless that he had to make that decision at all. You'd never been so glad that your parents had taken separate cars on the ride home, you weren't sure what would have happened if you'd been stuck with your brother and Bakugou the entire way home.

After your family vacation, your class was supposed to meet at UA for a special summer training course. And your class did partake in that, but you opted out of it. After receiving special permission from Principal Nezu, you spent the rest of the summer focusing on your work instead. And even though it wasn't actual hero training he agreed, saying something along the lines of "Public image is important in your career as a pro."

Even though it wasn't what you wanted to do, you needed any sort of distraction to keep you from dwelling on this situation for too long. Kyoko was ecstatic to have you in the office every day, because you purposefully showed up every day. When you couldn't make plans with Mina or Jirou over the weekend, you found yourself in the office. Most days you would be gone the entire day, only coming home when it had turned dark.

Your parent's concern for you soon became evident, your mother even talked with you one night to try and find out what was wrong. You could remember that moment too, the look of sadness on her face as she questioned why you never wanted to be home. It's not like you were trying to make her sad, you only wanted to prevent yourself from feeling miserable.

Her words followed you as you would leave every morning, "Dear, I was hoping to have you home this summer. But so far, it's like you're back in New York again. And even when you are home, it's like you've checked out. You've stopped playing your music, your games, reading and honey, I'm just worried about you."

You smiled to yourself, appreciating her concern for you. But at the time you weren't ready to talk about what had happened. You weren't trying to be dramatic or anything, you just didn't want to deal with your emotions, unpacking everything just felt extremely tiresome.

When you were done putting everything away in your dorm you went to get ready for bed. Starting with a shower downstairs and brushing your teeth in your room before you turned off the lights and got into bed. You double checked your alarm, knowing that your brother couldn't care less if you woke up on time, he'd probably revel in the idea of you not showing up at all. Your mom had sent you a message to remind you to come home this weekend to pick up some more things you had left behind. You responded to let her know you'd be there at the end of the week and to tell her goodnight.
