Hello everyone! Here is another special chapter, while I figure out how to make the story less boring lol. Thanks to SakuraFanfictions189 for your idea! I hope you all like this alternate ending.
A little background for the chapter, this happens shortly after you become friends with Shinsou, but before you meet Hoshi.

The smell of old books filled the air as you hid in the back of the library, not wanting to sit in your room any longer, you needed a change of scenery. The library seemed like the perfect place; you could be alone to work on your homework, but you weren't forced to be around the people trying to avoid you. You had your headphones in, bobbing your head to the music as you filled in what ever worksheet you'd gotten for homework.

A pair of shoes stopped in front of you, causing you to look up. You noticed his violet hair first; his emotionless expression held some curiosity as he peered down at you. Wondering what you were doing sitting alone on the floor of the back of the library. You took out one of your headphones, not sure if he had tried speaking with you.

"Whatcha doing back here?" He asked still giving you that slightly confused look.

"Oh, you know. Just studying." You tried to smile up at him, but it didn't quite reach your eyes. He didn't say anything after that, just kind of stood there awkwardly, still not sure why you were back here by yourself. "Did you need something?"

"Just a book," he pointed to a shelf above where you were sitting.

"Oh sorry," you scooted over so he could move to the spot where you were once sat.

"You know I've never seen you study here before. Who are you hiding from?" he asked as he searched the row of books for the particular one, he wanted.

Boy did he get to the point. "Mostly my brother... and his friends." You reluctantly added the last part, averting your eyes from his.

He froze a moment before he reached out picking up a book. "So, is that why you looked sad the other day?" He looked back down at you still sitting on the floor.

You nodded slowly, not really trusting your voice at this point. You could hear him take a breath before he took a seat next to you.

"Well, since we're friends now, we can talk about it if you want. Or if that's not what you want, we can talk about something else?" he offered.

With pursed lips you looked over at him, "Honestly, can we talk about anything else?"

Shinsou looked off then, thinking of a topic of conversation. "What are you working on?"

You couldn't help but smile to yourself, at least he was trying. You knew friendship would be very different with Shinsou, he was a completely different personality type than the types of people you usually spent your time with.

"Just some worksheet Midnight assigned." You tapped the paper with your pencil bringing his attention to what you were writing on.

"You know, I think she gave us the same thing, want to work on it together?"

"I'd like that actually," you smiled at him.

His gaze narrowed as he got a better look at your cheek. "What happened?" his reaction was to reach out and graze his finger along the scratch on your face, but he pulled back, not sure if you wanted him to touch you.

Automatically you hid your face, "Uh just a sibling fight, you know sparing results in a few scratches."

"Right," he dropped the topic after that, picking up that you didn't want to talk about it. He pulled out his homework, working beside you. Both of you periodically saying something or asking a question if there was something you didn't understand. You'd only ever worked with Shinsou during physical tests or exercises, so you didn't realize how smart he really was. Well, book smart that is, you knew he was smart when it came to strategizing but that was about it.
