Somehow, she couldn't quite believe it had all been a dream. It had all seemed so real, too real. She carefully stood up, glancing side ways towards Jamies side of the room. He seemed to be profoundly asleep, yet she wasn't sure as she couldn't see his face properly. She just couldn't make any noise just in case he truly was awake. She exited the room, the door slowly creaking shut. She walked past the sofa, the ancient, wooden floor boards squeaking under her. She headed towards the window as she pushed the silky curtains aside, revealing a large, square window seat. She sat in between the plush, dainty cushions, as she rested her head against the mysteriously, dim-lit window glass. She gently closed the draped curtains to hide herself from the outside world. She felt safe, veiling herself in the small cocoon. Now that she was by herself, she allowed her brave facade to slip. She was sure that Jamie had seen right through her, yet masking her feelings made her feel slightly relieved, made her feel unbreakable. Even though deep down, she knew nothing would be able to mask her feelings right now for long.

She sat there, staring at the starless sky, the way the gloriously full, silver moon lit up the darkened sky. She stared at it entranced, not being able to remove her gaze from it's whimsical, magnetic attraction. She hadn't  realized she had been crying, until a cold, bitter tear plummeted down, towards her shaking hand. She curled up, resting her head on a delicate, silk, blue pillow. Though her eyes were open, she couldn't quite think of why; her heart was pounding, mind empty. Her eyes grew heavy as they flickered towards the darkness due to her overwhelming exhaustion. She strained into the utter darkness, breathing rate beginning to steady.

She opened the curtains and stood up stifling a yawn. Looking down at her watch she found out it was eight. She headed towards the kitchen to prepare some breakfast for her and Jamie. She didn't know when he'd wake up, but she doubted it would take him much longer. She opened the fridge and took out some eggs. She was cleaning the small mess she'd created when Jamie walked towards her from behind. "How long have you been awake?" he inquired casually. Lottie jumped up, startled at the sudden presence behind her and dropped the plate she was cleaning back into the sink. "Jesus Jamie, don't do that" she said, not being able to mask the tiredness in her voice. "You didn't answer my question," he repeated, his voice stern. Lottie flinched, "Not long," she said, her voice drifting under Jamie's stern gaze. She was sure Jamie wasn't going to believe her, so she was relieved when he change the topic, "You made eggs," he said observantly. "Mm?" she looked up, "oh, yeah, those are for you" she said calmly, "I already ate my breakfast before." With that said, she walked towards the living room, sketch book in hand as she sat in the couch, starting to draw the vase that was in front of her. For a moment she left behind all fo her unpleasant thoughts, as she plunged herself into the fantasy realm of her imagination. She looked down, at her now finished drawing, a beautiful glass vase small fairies surrounding the flowers, as the light glinted of their wings. She let out a sigh of relief. She felt relaxed and more at home now. She placed the sketch in front of her and leaned back, staring at the ceiling, lost deep in thought. Through her closed eyes, she heard Jamie's benevolent voice, "I'm going to head to the shower." She relaxed back onto the couch, when she heard a light knock on the door. She headed cautiously towards the wooden door. She opened a slight gap, enough to peer through. No one was there. She was about to close the door and head back to the couch when she saw a small packet on the floor.
