Chapter 3

I absolutely loved writing this chapter!!!

" Wake up Natsu" Lucy gently shook Natsu to wake him up. He woke up and ran straight off the train leaving a gust of wind behind him. "HEY!" Lucy yelled after him, where!! are you going?" "I have something to do!!, I'll meet you guys at guild!!" he yelled back in response. Erza and Gray looked just as confused as she did. Happy started to fly after him saying "I'll try and catch up to him" as he flew trying to catch up "I guess we will just meet at the guild" Lucy said to her teammates. Erza and Gray nodded their heads in response as they started their walk back to Fairy Tail.

 Happy caught up with Natsu after he finally seemed to slow down and walk. "Why were you running Natsu? Is something wrong? "he asked his partner with concern. "No buddy, just the opposite" He got the biggest grin on his face Happy had ever seen. He didn't realize where Natsu had stopped in front of till he looked up. They were standing in front of a jewelry shop.

 "Natsu??" Happy wondered. Natsu smiled and looked at Happy and said "I am going to ask Lucy to marry me buddy" Happy's jaw dropped staring at his friend as Natsu walked past him and into the shop. He walked up to counter where the salesman was. "Hello young man, how are you today?" He greeted and asked Natsu with a smile. "I'm good and here to buya ring, what one were you looking at?"

 He pointed down to the ring that he wanted. Happy flew in and was floating near Natsu "You already know what ring you are going to get her?" "Yep, saw it a while ago and knew this was the one. The salesman reached down and pulled out a silver ring with a pink gem in the middle.

"Perfect!" he announced happily holding the ring up to look at it and show Happy. "I see you are going to make a lady very happy. That will be 9000 jewel." Natsu got the money out of his pocket and set it the counter. The two of them started walking out the door. The salesmen said good luck as they walked. "I am very happy for you Natsu but why didn't you tell me of anybody, your best friend" Happy wanted to know. 

" I am sorry about that Happy, I wasn't sure if I was even going to be able to do it so I didn't want to tell anyone but I promise I won't keep anything else from you little buddy" Happy smiled answering " No problem Natsu, so when are you going to ask her" He tossed the ring in his hand " Soon as we get to the guild, I'm fired up!"   Aye!! Sir" as the two walked towards the guild.

Erza, Gray and Lucy still confused as to why Natsu ran off had made it to the guild. "Huh, he's not back yet, wonder where he went" Lucy wondered. "What's going on?" Mira jane asked hearing Lucy "Natsu got all weird and ran soon as we all got off the train" Gray answered. "Hmm, yes that is unusual even for Natsu if Happy didn't even know why he ran" Erza said to the others. 

"Happy even went to get him and I don't even see him" "I'm sure he will be back soon" Mira said in a comforting tone. "Just take a seat guys, how did the job go? "Ha, piece of cake" 

"Gray laughed. Little did they know Natsu had just shown up and was standing outside the guild nervous as hell. "Are you going to be able to do it Natsu?" Happy asked " Y.YYes", he hesitated momentarily " I have been waiting for this day, I finally found someone to spend the rest of my life" Happy feeling confident said in a boosting voice " Go get her Natsu, good luck" " Thanks buddy hee hee" as he walked into the guild. "There you are, hey where did you go? you alright" His teammates asked as they saw him. "I am great" he replied trying not to burst the joy that his insides were feeling at that exact moment. 

He walked over and gave Lucy a kiss on the cheek. "Hey Luce" he calledto Lucy as he walked beside her. "Yes, what is i...Whoa, Natsu ,wwwhat are youdoing?" she questioned him as she saw he was on his knee holding her hand. The whole guild had gone silent as theywondered what the dragon slayer was about to do. 

"Well.". his cheeks had gone pink as he pulled the ring from his pocket Lucy ,you have been my best friend since you joined Fairy Tail, you have been there for me for everything from finding Igneel through the hardest time in my life finding out I was E.N.D, I realized after officially getting together with you that I don't want to ever lose you".

"Nat..Natsu, are you asking what I think you are, her face had gone all red from hearing Natsu talk about them. "Lucy Heartfilia, will you do me the honor in marrying me?" as he opened the box revealing the ring inside. 

All the girls in the guild just then let out a loud gasp while the guys were staring in disbelief that the guy who was known for his destruction and not having a romantic bone in his body just asked the girl to stay with him forever. Lucy whose cheeks were bright red just stared at the love of her life on his knee. Tears welled up into her eyes as she answered "Y, Ye. Yes!!" She exclaimed with excitement as Natsu happily slid the ring on her finger and picked her up in the air with teeth baring grin. Lucy had just as big of a smile on her face. 

. "YES!!!!, WAY TO GO NATSU!!, WAHWHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" shouts of happiness were given from everyone in the guild including Happy and Carla. Happy just then flew into Lucy's arms giving her a giant hug which she gladly returned. "I found him mom and dad; I finally found the one to make me happy" Lucy thought to herself as she hugged her fiancé tightly.

 The whole guild celebrated and threw a party for them well into the night until Lucy and Natsu finally called it a night and wanted to go home.

The soon to be married couple held each other's hands tightly as they walked back to the house. Lucy still not believing this happened kept looking at her ring while Natsu was in happy glory. 

Happy was just glad his best friend in the world finally found someone to make him happy in the way Natsu needed. He had Happy but he wanted Natsu to have a companion for him. "I don't even want to go to sleep" she giggled after they got into the house. "we'll have some fun then" he replied as he snuck up behind her and ran to their room with Lucy laughing.

Happy decided to let them have their night alone and took his mini hammock for living room. He was wiped out from having fun with the group, so it didn't take him long to fall asleep. Lucy couldn't get her clothes off fast enough while Natsu just wanted to tear them off her. He picked her up from her calves and carried her gently to their bed laying her down. 

She slowly took his scarf off him while his vest had already been thrown to the ground. Once his scarf was off, he threw it to the rack for it. He pulled the blanket over them. He leaned himself on top of Lucy kissing her forehead making his way down her nose, kissing both of her cheeks, put a couple kisses on her stomach. Lucy gasped in delight. Natsu's white teeth showed a little of dragon fang as he bit Lucy a touch on her soft, delicate skin that was all his. 

 "I love you Natsu" she told her mate. "I love you too Lucy now shhh " They enjoyed their night as an engaged couple.
