Chapter 5

Lucy wanted to pinch herself realizing what was about to happen. She was going to marry the love of her life and no longer be a Heartfilia. "Well at least I don't have to worry about people hearing my last name and thinking of the past". This was a new start for her. She was about to be a Dragneel and couldn't be happier. 

"Well let's go Lucy, time for a new journey" she confidently told herself as she grabbed her dress and started walking toward the guild doors. Master Makarov was there waiting for her. "I would never want to take the place of your father walking down the aisle Lucy, but I am very honored and proud that you asked me to give you away" he said to Lucy with tears in his eyes. 

Lucy took his hand he was holding up and said choking up with tears "Thank you Master for all that you have done for me over the years and you are the closest thing I have had as a father; I wouldn't ask anyone else" 

At that moment Lucy and Makarov started walking  down the isle. She was wearing a light blue dress with a white veil over her head. Natsu just stared at her walking down to where he was. They got to the stand where Lucy knelt down so Makarov could flip the veil back to reveal her face which immediately looked over at Natsu. His breath got caught in his chest looking at her.

 Makarov kissed her on the cheek, hugged her and went to take a sit with the guests. "Natsu, this is where you go" Gray whispered to Natsu who was frozen staring at Lucy, he snapped out of it and walked up to Lucy. "Alright everyone take your seats; we are gathered here today in front of our friends and family to celebrate Lucy and Natsu.

Lucy blushed at Jurrah's announcement. "Do you have the rings Happy?" Jurrah asked him. "Yup, here you go" he flew with a pillow in his hand which Natsu and Lucy took the rings for each other.

 "Natsu, you can recite any vows that you might have" "Lucy.... What can I say that you don't already know, you are my partner, my best friend and now my wife, there's nothing else for me to say and this ring is my vow to keep that promise?" He squeezed her hands to reassure the message as he slid the red ring over her finger. 

 "Lucy, same for you" " Natsu.. you were a pain in the butt when we first met.. everyone laughed, you made me want to pull my hair out but those times when you were there for me, I will never be able tell you how much it meant to me. You saved me I don't how many times, I love you my partner and best friend and can't wait to start this journey with you"  

They both looked at Jurrah who said, "do you both promise to take care of each other through everything whether sickness or sadness?" "Yes" they both answered. "well then there is nothing left to say then I happily announce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride." 

Natsu pressed Lucy into him giving Lucy the deepest kiss she had ever felt from him . "May I present Mr. and Mrs. Dragneel!!" Jurrah announced clapping. 

Everyone shouted in celebration and happiness. "PARTY TIIIIIME!!" Cana shouted to everyone." YEAHHHHH!!!!, party like a real man!!!" Elfman yelled to the guild. Lucy and Natsu were so happy beyond words, they joined right in and partied with their family.

They decided to take their honeymoon later in the future. Later that night Natsu picked Lucy bride style and carried her to their house. "Night everybody!" They called out as everyone waved goodbye behind them. 

"Welcome home Lucy Dragneel" Natsu announced when they go to the house. She laughed and said "Natsu Dragneel, let's get inside" as he carried her into their room. "come in Happy" he told his buddy. "are you sure?, I don't want to disturb anything with you two" he asked. 

"It's alright Happy" Lucy assured him. "I am absolutely exhausted" she yawned as she kicked her wedding shoes off, feet hurting and took her dress off to slip into her night shirt. Natsu took off and threw his clothes onto the floor. "I am so happy I could die right now and be happy" he confessed.
