The rain pours heavily around her but she's too far gone in a haze of uncertainty to notice. Her gown and robe are soaked and her hair is dripping wet.

All around her the world feels like it's sinking slowly and she's stuck, suffocating.

Jungkook wouldn't lie to her, would he? He seemed fragile when he spoke of Mina, anyone could see how much he loved her.

Yet Jimins words echo in her mind like a bell ringing in the distance. He didn't seem at all like he was delusional.

"There you are".

Warm breath brushes against the skin of her exposed neck and she shivers. Turning around she's met with warm, brown eyes, soft pink lips curled into a smile, and curly locks of hair dripping wet from the rain. He's breathtaking.

He lifts a hand and places it upon her cheek eyeing her worriedly.

"Why are you out here all alone?"

Holding back her tears she places her hand over his, leaning into his touch.

"I couldn't sleep"

"So you ran out into the rain?" He chuckles.

"The rain always calms me" she smiles.

He tugs her into his embrace, for a moment she feels safe in his arms. They stand together in the rain for a while as thunder rumbles in the sky.

After they've changed out of their wet clothes and dried their hair they lie together in bed, he has his arms around her and she leans into his chest. Her mind is elsewhere as she absentmindedly twirls a strand of her hair.

"I used to watch you" he confesses, startling her.

She shifts turning to look into his eyes. His cheeks are pink from how hard he's blushing.

She knew that already but she wouldn't reveal that just yet she thinks to herself.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean.. after the day I first saw you in Lis..." he refuses to meet her eyes and she giggles at how much he resembled a shy bunny.

"I went back. Time after time, I would visit just to sneak glances at you. You were always so beautiful. Tending to your house, helping your neighbor when she needed it. I was captivated by you" he meets her eyes expression serious now.

It was her turn to blush as she pulled the sheets up covering her face. He laughs tugging them away.

"Why didn't you just approach me instead of creeping around?" She smiles when he pouts.

"I didn't mean to be a creep, I was nervous. I hadn't had feelings like this in a while. Since-" he stops face falling suddenly before replacing it with a melancholic smile.

Since Mina, she thinks sadly.

Reaching up she pulls him down and kisses him softly. Her heart flutters when they pull apart. Snuggling into his chest she feels her eyes drooping as sleep being to overcome her. In her hazy, dream-like state she hears a faint voice singing melodiously, it vibrates from the chest she leans upon.

"The moon looks lonely

Like it's crying in the bright night sky

Even though I always know the morning will come

I want to stay in your sky like a star".

"Mina!" she calls as the other turns to look at her, a sweet smile gracing her lips. They were standing in a field of flowers together. Mina was further ahead, by the edge of a hill.

"I've missed you" she yells out and just as Mina is about to reply she sees a figure appear behind her.

"MINA!! Look out!" She screams as the other is tugged violently by the figure. She tries to reach out to her, tries her best to run towards the other. Tears blur her vision as she witnesses in horror, Mina being strangled by the faceless figure.

Her body goes limp and she's thrown carelessly to the ground.

The figure looks towards her and charges forward. She screams.

Jolting awake she screams out. Her chest is heaving and there are little beads of sweat gathered around her face. Her heart is beating wildly as she attempts to calm it.

The spot next to her is empty save for a single rose and a note.

It read:

Went to the neighboring kingdom for an emergency meeting. Hope to be back by nightfall.

Sighing she runs a hand across her face. It was just a nightmare. A horrifyingly realistic one but only a nightmare.

She takes a longer than usual bath today, opting to soak in the lavender-scented oil. The steam from the water relaxes her nerves.

She mulls over Jimin's words the night before and opts to visit him again. She should have listened to him last night but it was too much to handle.

She wanders through the garden after her bath, her rosy pink dress is silky and light as it flows gently against the warm breeze. Upon peering into the stable, most of the horses are gone. As she sneaks into the dungeon she finds three guards standing in front of Jimin's cell.

The now-empty cell.

"Your highness" they bow.

"What happened?"

"He escaped" the taller one, his name was Namjoon she believed, informs her.

She thinks back to last night, she had left the cell door open. It was better than him being stuck here. Jungkook wouldn't be too happy about this.

"We've been searching around the palace all morning, he must have left town already".

"There isn't much we can do about that, I guess we'll have to let him go-"

"No" she's cut off by Namjoon, "His majesty had placed us under strict orders to keep an eye on him. We have to find him".

"He's harmless," she says feeling irritation bubble inside of her, why was Jungkook so adamant when it came to Jimin? He wasn't as dangerous as the other made him seem.

"Until we can find him, I think you should stay in the castle" Namjoon looks as if he's about to escort her but she stops him, holding a hand up. "It's fine I can go back myself".

She finds herself wandering through the garden lost in thought. As she nears the willow trees she feels a creeping sensation of being watched, just as she's about to leave she feels a grip on her forearm and she nearly screams in surprise but a hand covers her mouth as she pulled back behind one of the willow trees.

"Shhh!! Ji Eun it's just me".

"Jimin!!?" she half yells half whispers. "The guards are going mad searching for you, why haven't you left town yet?".

"I can't leave you here, you're not safe".

"What?!"

"I wish I could have stopped it back then, all of it" he looks remorseful.

"Jimin what are you talking about?"

"Mina and the others... I could have saved them".

"The others?"

Jimin looks at her with a mix of sadness and confusion in his weary eyes.

"The other wives".
