CHAPTER 10

George's POV

I went after Fred. Merlin, he was being stupid. I ran up the stairs furiously into our room and slammed the door open.

"What the fuck is wrong with you Fred?!" I said immediately after entering and after I shut the door making a loud noise.

"There is nothing wrong with me, she is the one who has a murdered as her father." He said in a very calm voice for how I have spoken to him. He was laying in his bed as if what he was saying was reasonable and he hadn't just scream at Ellie two seconds ago.

"I know you do not like her but you could at least try to. What the actual fuck Fred!" I don't know if I was more annoyed by his actions or his words.

"I don't care what you say." Just as he said that an owl came to our window, I recognized him, it was Errol. Fred went up to him and detached the letter he was carrying. He took some time reading it but when he finished he had a big smile planted on his face. "Guess who is not spending all their summer with us?"

"What? What does that have to do with what is happening right now?!" I could hit him right now, but I know better than to do so. I didn't want my mom to hate me when we got back home.

"That my friend is because it is Elle who is going away most of the summer, meaning that I will not have to put up with her." He had a smug look on his face as if he had just won this battle.

I took some time to process all the information. Fred hated Elle. I thought he was secretly in love with her for the longest time, the typical boy annoys girls because he likes her. Turns out i was wrong. I am really bad at reading people. Elle is going to be away most of the summer. Where was she going? Why now?

"Why?" Is all that I could say.

"I asked mum." Was all Fred said to me, but he still didn't answer my question.

"WHY?!?" I reiterated.

"I didn't want to see her all summer so I asked mum if, that now that she had met Lupin and you know, they are so close, she could spend summer with him." He had an unbothered look on his face.

"I know you did it with a bad intention, but it was nice of you. She will be happy because she enjoys Lupin's company!! Now I'll go to sleep and you will shut up and tomorrow you will apologise to Elle!" I said and turned into my trunk to get my pyjamas.

After some thinking on the topic I decided that I wouldn't tell Ellie who's idea it was that she spend the summer away, just in case that would ruin it for her. She had a very stressful year and if this was what she needed to relax a bit I would let her have it.

I tossed around my bed for a while. I hoped this fight wouldn't ruin my relationship with my brother. He was being such a dipshit and, for what? Nothing at all. Anyway, I eventually fell asleep and all my thoughts shut down.
