CHAPTER 12

The next days were the last days of the school year and I was thankful. I had packed everything and I was ready to go. Right now I was heading into Professor Lupin's office after I received a letter from him at breakfast.

"Excuse me, Professor Lupin, may I come in?" I said when I was at the door and had already knocked. Lupin let me in and I was shocked to see he was already packed. As a student, I wasn't surprised to see all the students be happy to be away from school and not have more exams, but usually, professors were to stay a little more than students to mark all our OWLs and NEWTs. "What is going on? You are leaving?"

"I have resigned."

"Why?"

"It seems that someone has let slip the nature of my condition."

"Who? Why would someone do that? You are a great Professor!"

"Whoever it was bound to get out. This time tomorrow, the owls will start arriving. Parents will not want a 'Someone like me' teaching their children."

"But Dumbledore, he-"

"Has already risked enough on my behalf. Besides, people like me, well... let's just say I'm used to this by now. But before you go, Molly sent a letter and I wanted to know if you are actually going to be spending the summer with me."

"I am; I am excited about it too. I was about to respond to Molly, so it's possible you will get a letter from Molly confirming my stay." I said while I got out of his office.

Shoot! I need to reply to Molly, how could I forget?

I went to my room and quickly get some scraps of parchment and started writing to Molly:

Dear Molly,

I would be delighted to go for a few weeks on holiday with 'uncle' Moony. It would be a perfect time for us to catch up and actually get to know each other. I had already confirmed it with Lupin so no need to tell him.

Love, Ellie.

Classes have finished and I am not in my 5th year anymore. My OWLs were complete and all that was left was for me to wait for my grades and hope for them to be good.

This ride home was really awkward because of the fact that two people that hated each other were sharing a compartment, those people were me and Fred. I was next to George and Lee was in front of him. I was trying my best not to make eye contact with Fred.

Soon the trolley Lady passed by but the boys missed her due to their lack of attention to my calls when they were in deep conversations. So when I was peacefully enjoying a little chocolate bar they all turned to me -Fred trying so hard not to look into my eyes- and started asking when the lady had passed. Fortunately for them, it was not too long ago, so they left. Unfortunately for me not all of them wanted to go, of course, Fred didn't even move when the other two ran across the train to catch the lady.

I could sense he was judging me with his stare. It was a weird feeling, not really a bad one. Of course, I gave him the same exact look back.

"Don't act like an innocent little girl, everyone in this train knows you are nothing but it." Fred spoke with such despise in his voice towards me.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." Not quickly after I broke eye contact and looked out the window. I knew exactly what he was talking about and I was doing everything in my power to make him more mad, what was he supposed to do? He couldn't hurt me. I was basically a family heirloom.

"You know exactly what I am talking about." He was at the edge of his seat trying to hold himself back.

"Even if I knew, what would you be able to do about it? It's not like Molly takes more care of you than me."

"That is it, you little ignorant psychopath!" He had gone up and taken his wand from his pocket. One end in his hand and the other in my throat. I wasn't scared, at least I wasn't going to let him know that I was.

"Going to use a magic trick on me, Weasley? I would think about it twice, forgetting who was top of charm class the whole school year." At this point my voice was more of a whisper, directly speaking to his face full of anger.

But we never got to see who was better in a duel or what he was going to say to my response because we heard George and Lee coming back so Fred sat back and acted as if nothing had happened.
