CHAPTER 5

"AAAARRGGHH! NOOO!" a loud scream from the boy's dormitories woke me up that night. I looked around the girls and saw that they were all awake. I was too curious to just sit there and expect everything to turn out alright so I got up, put on my dressing gown and went to see what was going on. In my path, I encountered the twins.

"Hel-" I was cut off by Fred, who stood behind me and put a hand on my mouth.

"Shh, you will get us caught." He whispered as I tried to get out of his grip. "Something happening in Ron's room, we think he is the one screaming we are trying to find out."

"It's really hard to hear with all the sounds." Said George who was behind Fred. "We should invent something that helps us eavesdrop on people's conversations, Freddie." That was when he turned to look at Fred who was still shushing me. "Man get your hand out her mouth." As he spoke Fred removed his hand but before he did so, for a little revenge I licked it.

"Eww, gosh Elle you just keep proving me right. It is like every day you get worse and worse. And George, good one, I am going to write that one down." Said Fred and went up to get their notebook of ideas.

"With a knife!" We heard in the distance and after a few seconds, we heard a door open. We decided to go to the common room to see what had actually happened. As soon as we opened the door we could hear all types of questions from people who were as confused as we were. Who shouted? What are you doing?

We were about to take another step but we heard something first.

"Are you sure you weren't dreaming, Ron?"

"I'm telling you, I saw him!" saw who?

We made our way to the centre of the common room and Percy was telling everyone what to do and other normal Percy behaviour.

"Excellent, are we carrying on?" Said Fred who had come back down.

"Everyone back upstairs!" Said Percy, in his lovely PJs.

"Perce, Sirius Black!" Said, Ron. "In our dormitory! With a knife! Woke me up!"

Everyone in the common room went quiet. I was shocked, what was he doing here again? I then felt something, or rather someone, close to my right year.

"Your father is here." There was his voice again, Fred could not get enough of annoying me. That's when everyone in the common room turned to look at me and began talking with each other, guess my secret is out now, thanks, Fred. "I am sure he wants revenge for ruining his life."

"Nonsense!" Said Percy. "You had too much to eat, Ron, had a nightmare-"

"I'm telling you-"

"Now, really, enough's enough!" Professor McGonagall was back. She slammed the portrait behind her as she entered the common room and stared furiously around. "I am delighted that Gryffindor won the match, but this is getting ridiculous! Percy, I expected better of you!"

"I certainly didn't authorise this, Professor!" Said Percy. "I was just telling them all to get back to bed! My brother Ron here had a nightmare"

"IT WASN'T A NIGHTMARE!" Ron yelled. "PROFESSOR, I WOKE UP, AND SIRIUS BLACK WAS STANDING OVER ME, HOLDING A KNIFE!" Professor McGonagall stared at him.

"Don't be ridiculous, Weasley, how could he possibly have gotten through the portrait hole?

"Ask him!" Said Ron, pointing a shaking finger at the back of Sir Cadogan's picture. "Ask him if he saw it."

Professor McGonagall looked at Ron before pushing Sir Cadogan's painting and went outside to his other side to speak with him. "Sir Cadogan, did you just let a man enter Gryffindor Tower?"

"Certainly, good lady!" Said, Sir Cadogan. Everyone went instantly quiet.

"You -you did?" said Professor McGonagall. "But -but the password!"

"He had -em!" Said Sir Cadogan proudly. "Had the whole week's, my lady! Read -em off a little piece of paper!"

After that Professor McGonagall came back inside the common room and into the crowd. She was white as chalk.

"Which person," She said, her voice shaking, "which abysmally foolish person wrote down this week's passwords and left them lying around?"

Again the same silence filled the room, broken by the smallest of terrified squeaks. I then saw that Neville was looking stressed. Then I remembered overhearing a conversation I heard from Harry and Ron about how Neville didn't remember the password and we had written them down to not forget. He then raised his hand into the air. I felt so sorry for him but I couldn't do anything.

Professor McGonagall was so mad that he made everyone go to sleep except for the golden trio and Neville who she took to her office.
