~eight years later~

Yeosang and I learned how to be content with our long distance relationship, and our love for each other only grew stronger over the years. Things became a bit easier since I lived in Seoul. Whenever Yeosang had days off either over the holidays or after long tours, he would try to visit me at my apartment in secret. It was rare, but I always looked forward to it. I also looked forward to my future with Yeosang. I enjoyed talking to him about what that might look like. We dreamed about where we would live and what kind of lifestyle we would have. It was comforting to think about.

Yeosang stayed with Ateez until they disbanded and they had to complete their military service. Afterwards, he became a professional choreographer, giving dance lessons to K-pop trainees and newer groups. He also did some composing with Hongjoong and Mingi. They contributed in writing music for KQ's rookie idols.

Hongjoong eventually found true love. He started dating a girl who also used to be an idol, and they were a perfect match for each other. I was so happy for him, and the other former members of Ateez were happy for him too. We all stayed in touch with each other as lifelong friends.

Nari and I reunited when she became a stylist for JYP. I introduced her to Sunhee, and the three of us became very close. It was nice to have my two best friends supporting me through the highs and lows.

And when all was said and done...

My eyes fluttered open to see rays of sunlight pouring in through the bedroom window.

I had woken up to a quiet and peaceful morning. Yeosang was cuddled up against me under the blankets with his arm draped over my waist.

Glancing beside me, I smiled at my diamond ring which was resting on the nightstand.

Suddenly, Yeosang began to stir, and he pulled my waist closer to his body.

"Yeosang, what do you want to do today?"

"Hmm... It's a surprise."
