At first, Namjoon guessed Sumi was using some kind of machine to operate on Nora.

The consistent humming and a strange tapping sound - it reminded Namjoon of a drilling machine.

Although he hadn't seen any equipment on Sumi, when she appeared in front of them, it was possible she had brought back something.

After all, she and Nora were myths, with possessed powers that Namjoon had yet to figure out.

As far as he remembered, and read in the books related to the fantasy stories involving myths, they all had a base element.

Myths were attuned to a certain existence, and when in need, they harnessed their powers via that element. But it wasn't limited to one single object or presence, when it came to myths. The books said that many could control and use multiple elements present in their world, and some even had the ability to create something from nothing, and channel their energy, using the created object.

There was no definite method that was followed by myths, when they used their powers.

It was why, Namjoon had been surprised by Nora, when he watched her fight that horrid monster.

She had created a barrier around them, within seconds, and her wings were another extension of her powers, if Namjoon's guess was correct. Also, Nora's glass sword, with it's intricate design and thin blade that sliced through that ugly creature - it must be another object on her person, to be used, when in need.

Maybe, Nora was using two elements to channel her power, Namjoon guessed. Or was it just the wings?

He couldn't quite decide on it.

The books had little detail on energy manifestation and how a myth was affected by it. And if it weren't for the live demonstration Namjoon had witnessed, he would still be as clueless.

The sight of Nora's energy taking the form of those magnificent wings, was beyond anything Namjoon could have imagined.

It was both, beautiful and terrifying.

The sheer strength in those wings, when they beat against the other, and when Nora took off after the monster, leaving behind a gust of wind in her wake - it left Namjoon stunned.

He was still frozen in Nora's time, when she flew overhead, trying to attack the mutated creature. But if he had been one of the unfortunate ones, to not be paralyzed by her power, then that strong wind would have knocked him, and all the members off the stage, in seconds.

Nora had saved them all, countless times, within those brief minutes of the fight.

And now...

Namjoon lowered his hands, a fraction of an inch, wanting to get a glimpse of his savior.

He was momentarily blinded by the light surrounding the duo in front of him, and had to blink a couple times to adjust to the brightness. And even then, his eyes watered from the effort it took him, to pick out details of Sumi and Nora, as the former healed the redhead girl.

Namjoon could see the bop of Sumi's blonde hair, and head bowed over Nora, but the rest of her body was hidden by her power that had lit up the room, giving it a distinct feel of a sun having exploded around them.

There were some whimpers and grunts, following Sumi's spew of medical jargon that Namjoon suspected was related to their world and not the usual medical science used by humans. And a whole lot of soft words that sounded like curses directed at Sumi, while she worked on Nora's leg.

But other then that he didn't hear much from Nora.

The humming sound slowly grew in volume, and became a bit annoying.
