Jin couldn't sleep.
The smart watch on his bedside table blinked at him, the digital display making it known, he had been awake for awhile. This was unlike his usual self, where Jin would be passed out the minute his head hit the pillow.
Right now though, he was anything but sleepy.
"Dammit!" He rolled to his side, and reached for his phone lying on the bed. Should he call someone? Jungkookie?
No, Jin shook his head. The others and maybe even Nora-ssi, and Sumi had most definitely fallen asleep.
They were all tired from the day's schedules, and also from the last conversation they had with the myths, back in Yoongi's room.
It was a lot of information to process, and Jin knew it would take some time to get used to the idea, of them being targets for these monsters - the Furie.
It was going to take a lot from all seven of them, to work, and at the same time, keep these details in the back of their mind, that somewhere out there, a Furie or two were waiting to attack them.
He tossed his phone to the side and pressed his face into the pillow, trying to get his mind to calm down.
But it was futile.
There were too many thoughts, too much noise inside his head.
He couldn't stop thinking about the two myths occupying Yoongi's room, just a few doors down the hallway. He couldn't stop wondering if it was a good decision to let these supernatural beings stay over, so close to the boys.
What if the monster that the myths talked about, the Furie, decided they had enough rest for the day, and attacked them within the building? At this hour, when everyone's guard was down? What then?
Nora was injured, and her friend, Sumi was trying her best to heal her. Even though the myth promised to protect them, how was she going to do it, with only half her powers?
Jin had no medical knowledge when it came to human injuries, much less, wounds suffered from Furie attack. But he wasn't blind.
Nora's pale face, her voice and the tiredness that bled into her words, when she was explaining the situation, the tremble in her hands, which she tried to hide under the comforter, Jin had noticed it, of course. And he was sure, the others must have seen it as well.
She was a myth, and wanted to keep the all-powerful image before the seven of them. It was part of her job.
And Jin didn't blame her for trying to deceive them, to an extent.
Still...
With or without myths, the seven of them were still in grave danger, they were sitting ducks in face of the incoming war.
If the Furie did attack them, there wasn't enough manpower on their side, to stop the destruction these monsters could cause them.
The boys, and the myths, right now, both were at a severe disadvantage.
Wasn't there anything they could do for Nora-ssi? And help her heal faster? Jin wondered.
Sumi had talked about their powers, and the Furie, but nothing that would help them with Nora's condition.
"Was there a magical spell? Maybe a pill...that could help with Nora's wounds? There had to be something...right?" Jin thought out loud.
Even if they were immortals, they still bled and experienced pain, just like humans - Nora and her body were proof enough.
