{What's A Mate?}
THIS MEMORY IS NOW ONE OF HER FAVORITES.
SHE WILL ALWAYS HAVE IT ENGRAINED IN HER BRAIN.
***Hope was pacing through the halls of the Salvatore School.
It was way past curfew and there were very few lights.
She had been so good at avoiding her urges to visit the Waithe. But today...
today she felt something within her bones.
Something that whispered in her ear and convinced her that today would be the day. Today would the day that Reign would awaken.
Hope huffs, turning in the direction of her room.
What was she doing?
She shouldn't be here.
Rafael told him herself.
Yet again, Alaric told her that Reign would wake up in a couple of days, but now it was a week. She was worried.
She was anxious.
She was scared and angry with herself for causing Reign's injuries.
And surprisingly, Hope didn't feel guilty about such feelings.
Landon was gone, and though she liked him, he wasn't coming back.
Rafael... well... is Rafael. He had no control over what she would do, what she could do, and what she will do.
She cared for Reign and that was that.
And because of the foreign caring nature, she felt towards Reign, she will wait for the girl to wake up. Even if Rafael would be angry with her.
As if some type of god heard her from above, Hope had heard shuffling from across the hall.
It was coming from Reign's room.
Hope sped towards the room, her feet pounding as lightly as they could from the rush.
Wasting no time, she swung open the door.
But as soon as she did so, her face dropped.
She was still sleeping.
But then she heard it.
The small breathless whimpers escaped Reign.
No ordinary person would be able to hear the sounds that Reign was making, but she did.
Should she shake the girl awake or just wait until she wakes up on her own?
Should she call out to her?
