SO I'LL MAKE THIS SIMPLE,
STAY AWAY FROM MY SIBLINGS, HOPE.
YOU'LL JUST BREAK US APART.

"Dr. Saltzman!" Hope calls out, bursting into the headmaster's office with an unconscious Reign leaning against her shoulder. The headmaster was in a midst of a conversation with the school counselor, Emma, when the auburn-haired tribrid entered the room with the injured girl.

The youngest Waithe had large scratches, gashes, and bruises along her face and legs. The upper part of her body and a small part of her upper thigh was covered with the jacket Hope wore before going out to find the Waithe.

"Hope! What happened?" Alaric questions, getting up from his desk along with Emma and walking towards the two teenagers.

"A wolf attacked her, I-I wanted to give her my blood just in case b-but-"

"Hope, you need to breathe. Set her down on the couch, quick," Emma demands, assisting the tribrid in setting Reign on the couch.

"Ric, you must call Miss Preston before she leaves the building," Emma panics, inspecting the Waithe.

Hope looks at the two adults rushing around the office with wide eyes.

She didn't mean to cause Reign to get hurt.

This was her fault.

At least that is what she believed.

"I-I can help her, I can give her my blood-"

"No! No Hope!" Alaric snaps at the teenage Mikaelson before composing himself. "J-Just go to bed Hope. She'll be fine," Alaric says in a softer tone, leading the Mikaelson out of his office.

Though, the reassurance wasn't so reassuring.

The auburn-haired tribrid worriedly turned her head to try and see Rafael's sister before being pushed out of the office. The door slams to her back causing Hope to flinch.

This was her fault.

She should've never distracted Reign.

She should've told Reign to transition in the cellars.

She knew the wolves at school were more aggressive, and just assumed that Reign would be able to fit in with them.

She should've warned Reign.

Hope just stood there, her back facing the door, eyes wide, before slowly turning her head down the hall and walking to her dorm.

Guilt consumed her with every step she took.
