Sam and Dean walked into the bunker exhausted. They threw their bags on the table in the front room. Sam was a bit confused. Usually you were waiting for him when they came back from a hunt. Sam looked at his brother who only shrugged.

Sam walked into the library as he began to look for you. "Y/N!" he said as he walked towards the kitchen. "I'm in here!" you answered. Sam made his way into the kitchen, and he smiled at the sight in front of him. You were stood next to a cake sitting on the counter. You had a wide smile on your face as you gestured to the cake. "Happy birthday!" Sam's mouth dropped open slightly in surprise. He had almost forgotten it was his birthday. Dean reminded him that morning before they had left the motel, telling him happy birthday and giving him a small present.

"I know that we don't really do birthdays, but I was bored and I thought I'd do something nice for my wonderful boyfriend. Especially after that hunt you guys had to go on" you rambled on as Sam just stared at you with a look of pure admiration. Sam took a few steps forward and you met him in the middle. He wrapped his arms around your waist as you wrapped yours around his neck. "I love it" he said finally, before giving you a quick kiss. "I'm glad" you kissed him again. "You better eat some of it quick before Dean comes in here and sees it" you said, laughing.

"Thank you for this" he said after a few moments of silence. "Of course! It's the least I could do. I would have done more but this cake took me a lot longer than I had anticipated" you laughed again, and it was like music to Sam's ears. "It's just enough, I promise" you smiled and kissed him once more. This kiss was longer and more passionate.

"You know, I think there's something else I'd rather eat than that cake" Sam whispered into your ear. "Sam!" you smacked his arm slightly as you laughed. "What?" he asked innocently as he laughed along with you. You rolled your eyes. "Maybe if your lucky you can eat that later" you winked before pulling away from him. "I like the sound of that"
