"Let's take Aref back to the queen." one of the guards says. Waldo gives an awkward chuckle and shakes his head.
"Now my good sirs, I'm going to have to ask that you stop right there." Waldos eyes dart to the side in an almost in-human fashion, and a disturbing smile sprawls across his face. "Let's see if you can find me." Suddenly, Waldo seems to vanish in the crowd of guards and you're left all alone. The guards panic and scramble a bit, trying to make sure they can dispose of the striped menace before he did any real damage, but before they can do anything a cry erupts from one of the guards and he falls to the floor, his head twisted around in an almost grotesque fashion. You hadn't even seen it happen when it did, and this was the only time you had ever actually witnessed any violence. You had this bizarre sinking feeling in your stomach, but there was something alarmingly familiar about it.
Crack. Thump.
What was it.. where did you know it from.
Another scream. It was cut short by a n unsettling gurgle and an alarmingly meaty thump. You knew this feeling.. it wasn't a pleasant one either, and you don't think you had felt it until recently. What was it..
"Somebody tell him we surrender! Please we beg of you Waldo let us live--" With a wail of agony another life cut is short.
You felt as if the whole world was shattering around you, your hands were sweaty and yet you could feel this weight being pulled out of your chest, as if you soul was trying to escape. At this rate you began to feel the way you did when you were time traveling with Waldo, but this time you felt sick.. scared.. panicking even. This wasn't right. This wasn't the way things were supposed to go.
"W-waldo.." you feel yourself try to squeak out any kind of sentence "please.. s-s-s-stop." you feel your heart skip a beat as you feel somebody tap your back.
"I suppose if you are asking nicely." Waldo says. His voice has a very obvious razor to it, a disgusting sound of malice that makes you question all your efforts up to this point. You look around still in your disassociated state to see that at the most 3 or 4 guards remained. You suspect there may have been at least 10 or 20 guards to start off with. You knew that Waldo didn't have super speed or anything along those lines.. he must've just been very efficient. Waldo grabs your hand, it slick with the gore of the various guards.
"Waldo please.." You feel yourself just stammering nonsense, you weren't sure what effects seeing violence like this was going to have on you in the future. You do your best to pull away from him, not wanting to have any blood on your hands after the whole ordeal.
"You're having the dreams aren't you." Waldo says suddenly, his tone less sharp than before. In a way he sounded.. sad. You feel the weight in your chest slowly return, and you felt your soul return to your body.
"The.. dreams?"
That was the feeling."You're having nightmares about me aren't you" he said. His voice is shaking and you suspect he may be choking back tears.
In an instant you decide that you didn't want to see Waldo upset.
"I don't know what your talking about." You say. You decide that you'll just tell him when he's less emotionally charged.. and violent.
"I'll figure out what's going on soon. We need to get back home. I don't want to be here anymore." You weren't used to seeing Waldo like this, this weird mixture of anger and sadness all at once.
"Don't kill her... please" you say. You do your best to try to reach him, and you think you may have managed to get there, but you felt like something got lost in translation. You and Waldo storm your way into pyramid where Wilma was.
Only to see Wilmas corpse sprawled in it's throne.
Waldo turns around slowly and looks you dead in the eyes.
"Ok actually I swear that one wasn't me."
