Chapter 4: The Kyoshi Warriors
Zuko sat in his room meditating and controlling his breathing by letting the flames on candles flicker with his every breath. Zuko was distracted by his door opening and Uncle Iroh entering his chambers.
"The only reason you should be interrupting me is if you have news about the avatar." Zuko's voice was even. Iroh opened the door more and Nami stood besides him.
"Well there is news, Prince Zuko, but you might not like it. Don't get too upset."
"Uncle, you taught me that keeping a level head is a sign of a great leader. Now, whatever you have to say, I'm sure I can take it."
"Okay, then. Nami will tell you." Nami looked at Iroh betrayed.
"Um, so we lost track of the avatar. We have no idea where he is,"As Nami finished, Zuko's candles lit into what looked like a wall of flames.
"What!?"
"You really should open a window in here." Uncle Iroh tried to tame Zuko's anger by distracting him.
"Give me the map!" Zuko snatched the map out of his hand and opened it up.
"There have been multiple sightings of the avatar, but he is impossible to track down," Iroh had marked where the avatar was spotted on the map for Zuko to see.
"How am I going to find him, Uncle? He is clearly a master of evasive maneuvering."
"I think the avatar doesn't have a plan and is stopping at all these points for a reason we don't know. We all keep judging him as though he is over 100 years old, but when we captured him, he had a youth to him. When you were a twelve year old boy, why would you stop at some of these places?" Nami made her thoughts on the matter known. The biggest puzzle to them is how the avatar looked and acted so young despite being over 100 years old.
"I wanted to travel and try to find my mom." Zuko bitterly replied.
"I wanted to find a dragon!" Iroh's answer got Nami thinking.
"Isn't there an unagi said to hunt elephant koi near Kyoshi Island? I think that is where he is going!" Nami remembered reading some scrolls about the location. Zuko looks as though Nami just just told him that she had his favorite snack, fire flakes.
"Tell the captain to set a course for Kyoshi Island immediately." Zuko ordered Nami.

Nami rode on a rhino with Zuko, who was in his full fire nation armor. Nami preferred to dress light since her strength in battle was her agility and speed. Everyone rode on the rhinos in two. There was a head rider who held a weapon and the rider behind were in charge of being the eyes and ears for the other person.
"I want the avatar alive." Zuko ordered. Nami felt as though there was someone watching them in the distance, she didn't think it was too important to bring to Zuko's attention. Nami did, however stay on high alert until they reached the town. They waited on their rhinos just ahead of the statue that honored late Avatar Kyoshi.
"Come out avatar, you can't hide from me forever." As Zuko spoke, Nami's eyes took in the town. There were a few people peering out at them from doorways. Nami would have considered them brave had they not hid in fright as she made eye contact. Nami knew the other kingdoms feared the fire nation as it rose to power, but they were not all bad.
