CHAPTER SEVEN: FINAL TEST

Kazuki stood up in the middle of the clearing as Kikuko walked off, he strained his ears, nothing. He knelt down and felt along the ground, picking up a stone, he hurled it forward, knowing there was already a tree there, *tunk*, also nothing,

"Can't pick up anything. Must be hiding," Kazuki thought, getting into a meditative position on the ground,

Suddenly, there was a slight rustle in the trees, followed by the air growing cold a sound of something cutting through the air,

"Ricka, 2.57 meters away," Kazuki thought,

Almost reflexively he pulled a kunai at the last second and deflected the attack, Ricka landed behind him and almost immediately went in for another attack, Kazuki again blocked and counter attacked by jabbing Ricka square in the ribs with his free hand,
*click*

"Tengge, two feet away,"

Kazuki spun and blocked her roundhouse kick, then grabbed onto her leg and slammed her into the ground,

"Impressive," she grunted,

Kazuki didn't say anything, for he had heard the sound of a gun being loaded to his right,

"Yamabuki, 10 meters away, gun type, a mid-ranged assault rifle,"

Kazuki sprinted to his left as a hail of bullets flew his way, he ducked behind a boulder and the bullets ceased, taking out a shuriken Kazuki felt the ground for vibrations and strained his ears,

"Yamabuki's about twelve feet from this rock, better go now,"

he dashed out from behind the boulder and hurled his shuriken in the direction he new Yamabuki to be, there was a metallic *thunk* signifying Kazuki had hit his target, the end of the barrel of Yamabuki's gun.

"Gotcha," Kazuki thought,

He dashed and tore the weapon from Yamabuki's hands, ramming the butt into her ribs before tossing it aside and punching her square in the nose. Accept, she seemed to dissipate as he did so,

"A shadow clone," he thought,

He didn't have much time to think about it though because from behind him, he heard the sound of someone approaching from behind,

"Judging by how the wind is whipping around her, that's Akari, and she's aiming for my skull with a punch,"

Kazuki spun around and blocked Akari's oncoming attack, she continued to rain blows upon him and he continued to block them,

"She's improved," Kazuki remarked,

Suddenly, he noticed something, a pattern in her attacks,

"She hasn't improved enough,"

Kazuki quickly slithered his arm through her defenses and held a kunai at Akari's throat, she backed off, but as she did, Kazuki felt two pairs of hands latch onto his arms and another pair grab his legs!

"Ricka and Tengge have my arms, whilst Myu grabbed my legs. What're they doing?"

That question was soon answered by the sound of crackling a few feet ahead,

"Enju," Kazuki thought,

Suddenly, Kazuki had an idea, just as Enju prepared to fire a lightning bolt, Kazuki threw himself backwards and quickly jerked his arms and legs into the air, causing Tengge, Ricka and Myu to slam into each other, as they did so, they let go and got struck by Enju's lightning, sending them flying away. Kazuki quickly sprung up and dashed towards Enju, he rolled beneath another bolt, lept up, pulled out a kunai and swung for Enju's neck, only for her to block it with her own kunai. Kazuki felt her electricity channel through the metal of their kunai and into his arm, he grunted as he felt his glove burn away and the skin on his hand beginning to sear. Kazuki quickly pulled his arm away and swung again, once more, Enju deflected his attack and fried his arm.

"God, that hurts like hell!!" Kazuki thought,

(you have to remember, Kazuki isn't a perv here so he isn't struck by lightning on the daily so his body isn't used to it)

Kazuki once more pulled back his arm and swung at greater speed, casting a fire jutsu that covered his arm and kunai in flames. Enju countered, gradually, they both increased their speed, so much so, their arms became blurs. Energy began to surge around them, a combination of Enju's lightning and Kazuki's fire, the ground around them began to singe and burn as they continued to clash. Everyone covered their eyes as the energy around Kazuki and Enju became brighter, then there was a blinding flash and the both of them skidded backwards. Enju then fired a lightning bolt at Kazuki, but he dashed forwards and rolled underneath it and swept Enju's legs out from underneath her, melting his boots in the process, he grunted in pain but swung himself around and straddled Enju holding his kunai to Enju's throat. The two of them sat there, breathing heavily, but as they did, they heard the sound of a gun being cocked, Kazuki sighed, spun around, grabbed Yamabuki by the throat and choakslammed her to the ground. Kazuki then took her gun and placed it against her head,

"Alright fine! Ya got me!" Yamabuki shouted,

Then, they all heard a whistle, signaling the end of the test,

"Nicely done lad!" Came Kikuko's voice, "and everyone else of course,"

Kazuki chuckled as he heard pretty much all the girls collectively yell,
"Hey!"

"What? He whooped the lot of you whilst blind!"

"Still rude master!" Ricka said,

"Yeah! That's mean!" Akari agreed,

Kazuki removed his blindfold as he sensed Kikuko approaching with his glasses. He placed them on his face and stood up,

"That was fun! We should do that more often!" He said, reaching down and helping Enju up,

"And what? Get our butts handed to us again?" Yamabuki asked, dusting herself off,

"Maybe, but that's what training's for, improvement!" Kazuki responded,

"Alright, smartass," Yamabuki grumbled,

Kazuki chuckled,

"So, what should we do now?"  Enju asked,

"Why don't we just explore the city? I still haven't seen that much of it, so why not?" Kazuki suggested,

"Sure! We'll give you a tour!" Enju said, smiling brightly.

Hi! I'm back! Sorry it took so long, I just needed a break from writing. Also sorry for not posting any of the art I promised! I swear to draw at least two before the month is over! Also, now that this part is done, I'll be wrapping up Three Years Later, so that's all you'll be getting, then we'll come back here and do the next story, which is Myu's, and it's probably one of my favorites. So look forward to that! I'll see you guys later! Also I'm working on a different book behind the scenes, I won't say what it is until I'm ready to publish part of it but I will say this, it has nothing to do with MNG. Okay bye!!
