Violet's POV

As soon as Ion left, I began to miss him. Moving up the bed, I laid my head on his pillow just to catch the light cologne scent of him that was still there. Then I realized that the light breeze from the open French doors was no longer there. Turning my head to look, I froze in place like a deer caught in the headlights of a car.

All I could see was the dark silhouette of a man. How did he get in here? I should have heard something... The guards down below the window, where were they? A thousand questions ran through my mind. He was staring at me, I could feel it. Almost like tangible fingers touching me from head to toe. "It's time for you to come with me, Violet." He said in a deep seductive voice that I remember very well.

"Karrack... Karrack Sinn? What are you doing here?" I pulled the robe closer around my naked body, panic rising by the second.

He stepped from the shadows and I could see his face. I scooted back as he leaned forward placing his hands on the bed. Which was when My black eyes met with a crimson gaze. "You will get off the bed and come to stand before me. You have nothing to fear so you will not fight me at all this night unless I say you can. If I am understood, come, kiss me now..." My lips met his in a smoldering deep kiss of warring tongues and bitten lips. I must be insane! What am I doing? I tore my lips away from his for air, as I did, he lifted me and set me standing on the carpet a touch of surprise on his face.

Karrack's hands traced my arms down to my wrists until he had them both in one hand in front of the robe. From his right pocket, he pulled a pair of wrist manacles in silver that were lined to stop chafing. Snapping them both into place, he removed the keys and placed them in his inside jacket pocket. Before I knew what was happening, the world around me spun fast and a haze of black engulfed me.

Karrack's POV
(Synning Estate, Caster Hill)

What perfect timing. Everything worked so smoothly. Killing the guards outside the Estate had been easy. They were all young vampires of less than a hundred years. Next to me, they were babies. Seeing her glass doors wide open, only served to whet my appetite. In a single leap, I gained a foothold on the balcony. Stepping forward, I heard the conversation taking place between Ion and Liam, I moved to the side of the windows so I wouldn't be seen. Who would have thought that Liam was such a smart little shit after all? He always seemed to be the weakest one of the three brothers.

Finally, Ion left the Estate, the damn fool. He just made everything so much easier, and so did Liam when he went to go and get his paints, leaving Violet all alone.

For a human/Fae she sure can be a stubborn little thing. Just more to break her off, and my enjoyment over breaking her will be the thrill of a lifetime, I can't help but lick my lips at the thought of it. She is frightened as I enter and she sees me. I love the scent of her fear...

The softness of her lips in our shared kiss, and my tongue fighting hers' is exquisite. But I certainly was not expecting her to break free of my hypnotism. That will not do. Then again, I did not come at her with its full force, either, so... Though I did knock her out easily once I had the enchanted manacles on her. They are the one thing I own, that I know she cannot break free from even if she can use her Fae powers, and to my knowledge, she can't because she was never taught by her imprisoned mother. Poor girl. But all the better for me.

Gently, I catch her beautiful falling unconscious body and ease her over my shoulder. Walking to the outside balcony, I leap down and start to run with vampiric speed to Synning Estate and my personal, hidden dungeon that even Jonas knows nothing about.
