(Y/n pov)

I was eating breakfast with my parents and then my mother asked me a question.

Mom: Y/n, do you want to have a part-time job?

My dad suddenly spat out his cup of coffee and...

Dad: You are not going to have a part-time job, it is a waste of time. Besides, you can ask me for money. I will not let you do something that would stray you from studying as it will lessen your time to focus on school activities.

Mom: Really? Y/n doesn't even study and he's still at the top of his class. You'll get to meet new people at your workplace too!

On one hand, mom is right. Earning money and meeting new people is a very good win but on the other hand, I could say the same with dad. A part-time job may lead up to me having less focus at school.

You see, you don't need to review that much if you listen to the teacher while he or she discusses. If you listen to them, reviewing is not that essential as you already know them at hand. It's called "review" because you are just rereading your notes after all.

Y/n: Aight, sign me up, mom! I'm sorry, dad. I'm just gonna study harder and I could also review at where my work would be.

Dad sighed in defeat as my mom was jumping up and down to show how happy she was.

Mom: I win again~

Dad: You follow your mom too much, Y/n.

Y/n: Maybe I do. But, what is this part-time job anyway?

Mom: You'll help at a live house. There's this girl named Marina Tsukishima. I already contacted her that you're coming later this afternoon. I'll text you the address at your phone later. Don't worry, it's not that far from Haneoka.

Y/n: Alright then, I'm going to class now. See ya!

Mom and dad also said their farewells to me as I started my adventure to Haneoka high school.

Y/n: Hmmm live house? Let's see how it works out... I don't know how to play any instruments after all... But, let's see...

*Ring*

I looked at my phone and the notification was a text message from mom.

Y/n: Live house CiRCLE...

: You know live house CiRCLE?

I turned around and it was... I- Imai-san?

Y/n: Ahh Imai-san, I never thought we'd bump to each other today.

Lisa: Same!

Y/n: Where's Minato-san?

Lisa: Well, she actually went earlier than me today.

There was a moment of silence as I don't know how to continue the conversation. That is, until Imai-san broke the silence.

Lisa: Anyways... So you know live house CiRCLE?

Y/n: I'll work part-time there starting today. My mom knows this woman, Marina Tsukishima and I don't know how she signed me up. All I know is I'm going there after school. How do you know about this place?

Lisa: I'm actually part of a band with Yukina and we perform there!

Well, that certainly was an eye opener. I never knew they were in a band... Just shows how much I don't know about Imai-san.

Y/n: Uh, do you have band practice there later?

Lisa: We don't have anything scheduled today but if you want, I go with you there later.

I blushed from that... Will it look like a date? Imai-san is so out of my reach though. We're in parallel universes.

Y/n: Sure! Well, how about we walk together to school?

Lisa: We're already at this point, so why not?

We walked together, pace by pace, step by step, as time passes by, we eventually reached Haneoka. Since we're in the same class, we still walked together. We earned quite a few stares. I heard some saying "What's L/n-san doing with Imai-san?", "Are they dating? If so, I ship them.", "Damn Y/n, gets high grades and a beautiful girl to be with.", And "How I wish I was Y/n..."

After all of that commotion, we arrived at the classroom.

Y/n: I'll see you later, Imai-san.

Lisa: Yep!

~timeskip to after classes brought to you by Y/n listening to the teacher with all the concentration he has~

Me and Imai-san met at the gate of the school and...

Y/n: Alright, let's?

Lisa: Let's!

Me and Imai-san started walking, it was a short trip she said...

...

...

...

And it actually was a short trip but it felt like someone was following us the whole time.

Lisa: Here it is, live house CiRCLE!

Y/n: Let's go.

I opened the door and was met with no one except for an older girl at the reception.

Marina: Ah, you must be Y/n?

Y/n: Yup, my mother sent me here. Marina-san, was it?

Marina: Yes, now I don't need any more interviews. You're automatically hired!

Y/n: Well, that was easy...

Marina: Wait, there's a catch. I want you to tell me if you're dating Lisa or not.

Me and Imai-san looked at each other and blushed.

Lisa: M- Marina-san, we're just good friends!

Y/n: She just guided me the way here, that's all.

Suddenly, the door opened. I looked back and saw five of my juniors. Ran Mitake, Moca Aoba, Himari Uehara, Tomoe Udagawa, and Tsugumi Hazawa.

Y/n: Ah, hello girls! I never knew you were in a band as well.

Ran: N- nice to meet you here, Y/n-senpai.

Y/n: Did you guys follow me here?

Ran: W- well-

Moca: Yes~ We wanted to know why you're with Lisa-senpai~

Y/n: Ah, she just helped me go here as I never went here before.

Marina: Y/n, I think this is it for now. You could start tomorrow. Roselia has band practice here tomorrow.

Y/n: Roselia?

Lisa: That's our band! Be sure to watch us practice!

Y/n: I will! Could I go for now, Marina-san?

Marina: Yup!

Y/n: Want to go home to- together, Imai-san?

Lisa: I'll pass for now, Y/n-kun. I'll watch Ran and the others practice.

Y/n: Very well then. Bye!

I waved them farewell as I exited the building. When Imai-san rejected my offer to go home together... Why did it hurt? Why did I feel very disappointed... Anyways, I'm probably just tired...
