Chapter 9: Graduating With A Gal

(Y/n POV)

The time of graduation has come and I feel happy. All of my hardships as a high school student ends here. I, the valedictorian will have a speech later. I have my valedictory address later as the commencement exercises begin. Looking back, I had a lot of fun memories but the ones I cherish the most are the experiences I had this last year of my high school. I still have a lot of thoughts in mind but I'm saving them for later.

For now, Hina, our student council president will speak and after her, I'll be the next one. Hina stood up and went at the podium in the front at the stage.

Hina: "Hello, everyone! Is everyone having a boppin' time?!" Hina said as we all responded with a nod. Hina, even at the graduation really couldn't be stopped.

Hina: "I stand in front of all of you today as your student council president, many of you may know that I'm a very energetic and easy-going person and I wouldn't deny that. However, I thank you all guys for giving me the opportunity of being in this spot right here. Thank you for giving me the chance to serve you all as the student council president. Thank you for giving me your trust to handle the student council. The successes of the school is not of the student council only but it is also the success of everybody right here. I have nothing more to say but this year has been a blast and I hope it was for you too. Now, may I call my dear friend, our very own valedictorian, Y/n L/n."  Hina said as she went down the stage while the other students applauded.

I stood up and also went in front of everyone. This is it, the speech I've been waiting for.

Y/n: "Hello and good morning, everyone! I am Y/n L/n, your very own valedictorian. I am here to say, that I regret being in this position." I said which made everyone shocked.

Y/n: "Now, why did I say this you may ask. Well, for the rest of my elementary, middle school, and high school life... To put it bluntly, I was a loser with good grades. I didn't do anything but study, I never tried to do fun things in life. But, everything changed at my last year of high school. It's like a blessing from heaven as the most beautiful angel came to me. Without her, I'd probably be a man who didn't see the fun of being in high school. Without her, my life would have been the most boring there is. Without her, I wouldn't learn how to love. What I'm trying to say is, we should enjoy life to the fullest as we only live once but for my case, I needed someone to show me the wonders of life. You, all of you, if you hadn't seen the wonderful things in life, you might need something or someone. I am Y/n L/n, your valedictorian." I said as I went back to my seat as everyone cheered and applauded. This event may seem over but I had one last surprise in mind.

I insereted a letter at Lisa's locker to meet me behind this building we're in, she doesn't know I was the one who gave it but I hope she comes.

The commencement exercise was over, it was the moment of truth. I went behind the building and saw... Lisa, she came.

Lisa: "Y/n-kun?! What are you doing here?"

Y/n: "I'm meeting someone here."

Lisa: "Oh, I see. Me too... Wait- Are you the one who gave me that letter?"

Y/n: "Yes, and may I say... Lisa Imai, I like you. Will you please go out with me?"

Lisa didn't say anything but she instead ran to me and hugged me.

Lisa: "Y/n-kun... We're already dating, what do you mean by this?" She said as she still had the hug with tears starting to form in her eyes.

Y/n: "It's just that I love you so much I felt the need to confess again." I said as I brushed her hair using my hand.

Lisa: "To answer your question... Yes! I would like to go out with you." She said as she wiped her tears, broke the hug, and kissed me on the lips.

The moment was beautiful, I cherished every single millisecond- no, every nanosecond of it. After a few seconds, we broke the kiss and looked at each other.

Y/n: "I hope that the way we look at each other now would never change."

Lisa: "It won't, I got my eyes all on you and you got your eyes on mine."

Y/n: "I'll believe you on that. I love you, I love you so bad."

Lisa: "I love you too."

After that, another kiss on the lips occurred. This is the best moment in my life and I'm very thankful that...
