The next day, I wake up in bed alone and find that Mat is in the shower. He jumps when I step in behind him. "It's just me." I say, planting a kiss on his shoulder. "I would hope so, anyone else might be a little weird." He laughs. "Are you ready for the season yet?" I ask him. "Well, we're gonna win the Stanley Cup this year. But honestly I'm kind of liking just relaxing with you everyday." He says. "I don't know, I'm kind of excited to be back with the girls sitting in our section cheering you boys on." I say. "That's cause you're not actually the one playing the game." He says, finishing the shower. "Oh boo-hoo, you love it and you know it." I say. "I do love it. Wouldn't trade it for anything." He says, planting a kiss on my cheek before leaving the bathroom to get changed. We spend the rest of the day hiking not too far from his dad's house.
