MAT'S POV

I meet up with a few buddies and we workout for a while before taking a boat out on the lake and swimming. One of my buddies, Nolan nudges me while we were driving out and he said "Hey Barz, you still got that girl from New York?" "Yeah, we're still together." I say, taking a swig of my drink. "How's that been going?" my other buddy, Turner asks. "It's been really great. Yeah, we've been together for almost 9 months now." I say. "Barzy's cuffed." One of my friends chants. "I'm not even going to lie, I really am. She's amazing and I love her to death. Smokin hot too." I say. The boys whistle and laugh just as we get out to the middle of the lake.

After a while, we head back and I go home. I walk in the door quietly since it's getting kind of late. When I walk back to my bedroom, I pass the living room and Lexi is curled up on the couch asleep with the tv on. Liana comes out of the kitchen with a water and gives me a little hug. "She zonked out about an hour ago." She whispers to me, looking at LC on the couch. "We were watching Gossip Girl." She adds. "I'm gonna pretend I know what that is." I whisper back, stepping towards LC and grabbing a blanket to drape over her. Once I get her body covered in the fleece, I lean down and kiss her forehead lightly. Her cheeks were slightly squished together from laying her face on the arm of the couch and her breathing was peaceful. "Love you, baby." I whisper against her ear. When I stand straight again, Liana's standing next to me with her arms crossed. "You really love her don't you." She whispers. "I really do. I'm gonna marry that girl." I whisper, hugging Li and heading back to my room.
