So nagitogun ask us " how long ago is this away from his parents dying and how old was he when he stared to get abused" So Me and Literature Chan realize that we didn't give that much background information so here is the answer.

So Makoto parents died in the summer to middle school and high school in a car crash so Makoto didn't hang out with his friends all summer and Hina kept texting him asking if he was okay and he lied say he was fine so in freshman year his friends were worried about Makoto because he stop talking until Kyoko found out and told Makoto she knew and promised him she wouldn't tell anyone but Makoto told Hina, Hiro, Byakuya and Toko what happened and they were there for him so he felt better. Half way though freshman year he got adopted by Mr and Mrs Sunobu and Komaru didn't know so the adoption center though that Mr and Mrs Sunobu were his aunt and uncle. When the aunt came to adopt Makoto and Komaru she though that Makoto died in the car crash and told Komaru ever though Komaru know that Makoto didn't die.

Makoto was 14 years old when he got abused.
